Will Microsoft Flight Simulator support multiple monitors?

Like you I'd like to set up multiple monitors.  I have a shinny new RTX 3080 with adequate horsepower but I want to have my side monitors be portrait while the primary is landscape, in other words PLP mode.  As far as I can tell NVidia doesn't support that although users have been asking for it for years.

Does anyone know differently?

You know THIS is an interesting question, and I have to admit that I have never tried this, but I can certainly think of instances where you might want to setup a configuration like this. The best bet on how to do this is to contact NVidia support first hand, especially if you have a brand new RTX 3080 (LUCKY YOU!! - I'M JEALOUS!) If this is possible, I'm certain NVidia Support can tell you exactly how to configure it.

With regards to FS2020, setting up multiple monitors (independent of each other) is impossible as far as I can tell. Yes, FS2020 does support 3 or more monitors configured in Surround Mode, but as far as being able to configure monitors separately for individual separate views (like you could do in FSX) is just possible in the new FS2020. A feature SORELY missed but desperately needed with the new FS2020. 

IN FACT THERE'S A LOT OF GREAT FEATURES THAT WERE IN FSX, THAT ARE, UNFORTUNATELY, MISSING IN THE SO-SO FX2020 RELEASE. And THAT's a HUGE disappointment for a lot of serious, life long flight simmers out there.

You can span the display using Nvidia's Surround, which is part of the Nvidia control panel. 

There is something similar to this if you are using an AMD video card.

At present, FS2020 DOES NOT allow you to open new additional windows for separate instruments, views, etc., like it did in FSX.

Hopefully Microsoft will address this in the future, and make this benefit available, ... although I doubt it, because the software is designed to mainly run under an XBOX single window environment (using either a PC as in XBOX Beta for PC or on an XBOX console.)

I'm currently running FS2020 using three screens with a resolution of 5760 x 1200, and FS2020 runs fine across these three monitors which are in Nvidia's Surround (so it looks like one big, very wide screen monitor.) And this works great, EXCEPT it would be nice to be able to open up another window for just the instruments, like I could do under FSX. 

One of the trade-offs, of going with the much, much, much more advanced FS2020 software.

YES, YES, YES, this is a sorely missing feature of FS2020 and is badly needed IMO!

This was one of the greatest features of FSX, not only the replay capabilities, but also of the graphing capabilities of the flight, and the final approach (speeds, descent rate, altitudes, etc.) which is essential for evaluating how well a precision instrument final and landing is flown.

COME ON FS2020 DEVELOPERS, ... LETS GET SOME OF THESE BEST KNOWN AND LOVED FEATURES OF FSX BACK INTO FS2020!!
