Will Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 support multiple monitors?

For example, one monitor for instruments, another for front view, one for left, and one for right?

This is opposed to one view being spread over two monitors.

You can span the display using Nvidia's Surround, which is part of the Nvidia control panel.

There is something similar to this if you are using an AMD video card.

At present, FS2020 DOES NOT allow you to open new additional windows for separate instruments, views, etc., like it did in FSX.

Hopefully Microsoft will address this in the future, and make this benefit available, ... although I doubt it, because the software is designed to mainly run under an XBOX single window environment (using either a PC as in XBOX Beta for PC or on an XBOX console.)

I'm currently running FS2020 using three screens with a resolution of 5760 x 1200, and FS2020 runs fine across these three monitors which are in Nvidia's Surround (so it looks like one big, very wide screen monitor.) And this works great, EXCEPT it would be nice to be able to open up another window for just the instruments, like I could do under FSX.

One of the trade-offs, of going with the much, much, much more advanced FS2020 software.

If you are running 3 4K monitors at 11520x2160, I didn't think that the new FS2020 program could handle that large of a resolution? I didn't think there was a setting for that in the program's video setup section, but maybe I'm wrong?

In any event, that's a heck of a lot of pixels for ANY computer to be pushing (even on an RTX 2080 card) and the software application has to be written to be able to support that high of a resolution amount, and I didn't think FS2020 could support that?

HOWEVER, I do agree that without having the ability to setup separate monitors with separate views, is a MAJOR DRAWBACK to using the new FS2020 program, for those of us that have multiple monitors or used multiple monitors in FSX.

XP11 usually sets the default resolution to whatever the OS/GPU is set to. However not sure if XP11 has enough fingers and toes to count 11k pixels.  In my experience with XP11 even if it can its likely to choke like a python eating a pig and FPS will be on the wrong side of zero.

At the combined resolution of 11,520 x 2,160, it would actually be pushing 24,883,200 resolution pixels altogether, if you are using 3 monitors set at 4K resolutions.

And THAT's a heck of a lot of pixels for any modern CPU and GPU card to be pushing.

But regardless of the hardware side of it, the application itself needs to be able to support that high of a resolution, and I do not believe that FS2020 is capable of that, in terms of I don't think that high of a video resolution option is available, but I could be wrong about that, as I haven't actually checked to see what's the highest resolution supported by FS2020.

I'm just running three 1920 x 1200 monitors at a combined resolution of 5,760 x 1200 (which is 6.912 million resolution pixels) and its running fine.

But I still wish that FS2020 had the ability to open separate, new windows, that could be moved to additional monitors.

Nvidia surround is useless the distortion on the side screens is horrible! Never had an issue with XP11, such a let down for a new sim!
