Will Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 support multiple monitors?

For example, one monitor for instruments, another for front view, one for left, and one for right?

This is opposed to one view being spread over two monitors.

You can span the display using Nvidia's Surround, which is part of the Nvidia control panel. 

There is something similar to this if you are using an AMD video card.

At present, FS2020 DOES NOT allow you to open new additional windows for separate instruments, views, etc., like it did in FSX.

Hopefully Microsoft will address this in the future, and make this benefit available, ... although I doubt it, because the software is designed to mainly run under an XBOX single window environment (using either a PC as in XBOX Beta for PC or on an XBOX console.)

I'm currently running FS2020 using three screens with a resolution of 5760 x 1200, and FS2020 runs fine across these three monitors which are in Nvidia's Surround (so it looks like one big, very wide screen monitor.) And this works great, EXCEPT it would be nice to be able to open up another window for just the instruments, like I could do under FSX. 

One of the trade-offs, of going with the much, much, much more advanced FS2020 software.

    If you use Nvidia cards, you can enable Nvidia surround. Once you set that up, make that your primary display. Start MSflight sim, and you'll be able to use a resolution, for instance, I have 2 60'' 4k TV's. I entered 3840x2160, and it spanned across both screens. One issue you'll have is the bezel will get in the way, so it's best to use 3 monitors, if possible.

    Folks, if you read this thread before replying you will see the areas that have been well covered already, which includes many accurate posts on NVIDIA surround.  This is getting to be a large off-topic (originally on manuals/documentation) thread which I think should be closed.  We have lots of good info on that topic early on.  But getting lost in the shuffle now.

    What platform are you flying FS2020 on? Because on my PC flying FS2020, this doesn't do anything.

    And on the PC, touching the (RIGHT) ALT key is now different then touching the left ALT key (which are both on each side of the space bar) and touching the ALT key while hovering the mouse cursor over an instrument doesn't bring up any so-called magnifying glass as you described, so I'm not sure what you are talking about, as far as this doesn't work on a PC. Maybe this works on a different platform? Such as XBOX or Steam maybe?

    Dear Monxas,

    Thank you for your tip about using the Right ALT key.

    I have attempted to get this to work in the Cessna 152 and Cessna 172 with the Garmin G1000. I have not been able to get this to work.

    Please let us know which plane and instruments that you found that works with your tip. I will continue to try other planes and instruments.

    Some types of keyboards/systems do not map the Alt Right combination properly.
