Will Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 support multiple monitors?

For example, one monitor for instruments, another for front view, one for left, and one for right?

This is opposed to one view being spread over two monitors.

You can span the display using Nvidia's Surround, which is part of the Nvidia control panel.

There is something similar to this if you are using an AMD video card.

At present, FS2020 DOES NOT allow you to open new additional windows for separate instruments, views, etc., like it did in FSX.

Hopefully Microsoft will address this in the future, and make this benefit available, ... although I doubt it, because the software is designed to mainly run under an XBOX single window environment (using either a PC as in XBOX Beta for PC or on an XBOX console.)

I'm currently running FS2020 using three screens with a resolution of 5760 x 1200, and FS2020 runs fine across these three monitors which are in Nvidia's Surround (so it looks like one big, very wide screen monitor.) And this works great, EXCEPT it would be nice to be able to open up another window for just the instruments, like I could do under FSX.

One of the trade-offs, of going with the much, much, much more advanced FS2020 software.

If it was installed on your PC, it should have been installed through your Xbox Live Account for PC.

I would recommend that you re-install your Xbox live account on your PC, and then you'll have to re-log back into your Xbox account. From there, your FS2020 game should appear under your purchased games, and it will give you the option of re-downloading it and the Xbox app will re-install it again on your PC.

I could be wrong, but I don't think that you can install FS2020 onto a PC without doing it through the Xbox Live for PC app. So that app must have been installed onto your PC at some time. To re-install the Xbox Live for PC app, go to the Microsoft Store App (its the icon that looks like a little suitcase) and re-install Xbox live onto your PC again (if its not already installed.) Then once that's re-installed, you'll need to sign into your Xbox Live account, and then you will be able to see your purchased game and should be able then to re-download it and re-install it on your PC.

My question is....I bought the new FS 2020 and had it installed by BestBuy. I went to my CPU and FS was not to be found, it completely disappeared from my computer. The Geek Squad worked on it for 4 hours and could not repair it. I was told to reinstall it. I entered the product code and it came back to tell me it was sold , and I can't use it. they want me to buy it all over again, what a scam there is no where to complain about it, im stuck and pissed off!

Just as a reminder note, you can use both NVidia's Surround System -AND- still setup and have open separate windows for both XP11 and FSX, and move these to whatever monitor you want.

Because for certain types of more modern applications and games, Nvidia's Surround is a great setup on a 3 or more screen system. But not all apps or games support the NVidia system, or work well with it, and so in the case of XP11 AND FSX, you can have the best of both worlds, but having separate windows opened in XP11 & FSX for those apps, while also being able to use the Surround setup as well.

    What (or who) is DCS?

    Don Whyte

Sorry. Digital Combat Simulator.  Basically a military aircraft simulation ‘world’ with very high fidelity aircraft modeling.  Lots of fun, steep learning curve.  You can blow stuff up.
