Will Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 support multiple monitors?

For example, one monitor for instruments, another for front view, one for left, and one for right?

This is opposed to one view being spread over two monitors.

You can span the display using Nvidia's Surround, which is part of the Nvidia control panel. 

There is something similar to this if you are using an AMD video card.

At present, FS2020 DOES NOT allow you to open new additional windows for separate instruments, views, etc., like it did in FSX.

Hopefully Microsoft will address this in the future, and make this benefit available, ... although I doubt it, because the software is designed to mainly run under an XBOX single window environment (using either a PC as in XBOX Beta for PC or on an XBOX console.)

I'm currently running FS2020 using three screens with a resolution of 5760 x 1200, and FS2020 runs fine across these three monitors which are in Nvidia's Surround (so it looks like one big, very wide screen monitor.) And this works great, EXCEPT it would be nice to be able to open up another window for just the instruments, like I could do under FSX. 

One of the trade-offs, of going with the much, much, much more advanced FS2020 software.

    Its been awhile since I last used FSX, (as I'm not using FS2020 - but really miss a lot of the great features of FSX that unfortunately are sadly still missing from FS2020) but I think that the reason you are not seeing the Menu ribbon across the top of the screen within FSX is because you are running in 'Full Screen' mode. You need to run FSX in Windowed mode.

    To change from running FSX from Full Screen to Windowed mode, you need to try ALT & Enter (or CTRL & Enter - I can't remember off hand which one it is - i.e. ALT or CTRL but I think its ALT) which will toggle you out of the Full Screen mode. Then when you move your cursor towards the top of the window, the pull down menu should appear. And in settings, you can change it so that the pull down menu ribbon is always on at the top of the screen.

    Then once you have the top pull down menu displayed, there should be an option under Views for 'New Window View'.

    And if this still doesn't appear, then I would probably consider re-installing your FSX.

    My problem is that I can’t find a menu with “New View” in it. I also don’t have a menu at the top of FSX. It seemed like I did in a previous version possible but I am unable to access it now. I am using FSX Deluxe Edition if that matters. In Free Flight, if I right click on the screen I have access to a menu that includes:

    Cockpit

    Outside

    Tower

    Runway

    Aircraft

    Air traffic

    There are sub menus for each of those options but there is no “New View”. Is this the menu you see that has “New View”?

    Click on the menu at the top of FSX, for views, and select 'New View'. The will open another window with a few. If you want to move that window to another monitor, just right click on that window, and select "Undock Window'. This will then allow you to move that window to another monitor.

    SO, by doing this, you can, for example, have one new view window opened and undocked on your left monitor for looking out the left side of your aircraft, and then have you center monitor as your main FSX monitor looking straight ahead, and then open a second undocked window and move that to your right monitor, and then you'll have a view looking out the right side of your aircraft.

    OR you can use multiple undocked windows to display all kinds of instruments separately. And view supported by FSX can be toggled through and set on any additional, undocked open window.

    How do you open new views in FSX for use in separate monitors? I can open instrument views and drag to another monitor but I don’t seem to be able to open a new view (i.e. side view) When I right click on the screen it pulls up the View menu but there is no option to “add view”. I’ve seen this in a You Tube video with FSX Steam but it isn’t on mine.
