PC Keeps Crashing when under heavy load

I hate to be a barer of bad news, but after my years building PCs, I can tell you that 95% of the time a PC crashes after a heavy load is started its because the CPU voltage is too low to handle 100% of usage. I know my rig cant handle a video encode without switching to 3.5GHz from 3.9.

Since your CPU is not unlocked, my recommendation would be to try to downclock the CPU if you can, or try another CPU.

What's the voltage look like while idle? And have to tried opening the Event viewer? Maybe it caught something.

In that case, follow the below to see if it fixes the issue.

Fix #1:

Step 1:

Go to Search box next to Windows icon and type View Advanced System Settings

Step 2:

Under System Properties windows click on Advanced

Step 3:

Click on Settings under Performance

Step 4:

Then under Performance Options click on Advanced tab

Step 5:

Click on Change under Virtual Memory

Step 6:

Uncheck the box for the Automatically manage page file size for all drives

Step 7:

Then select the system managed drive C

Step 8:

Next select custom size

Step 9:

Type the Initial Value in MB as 1.5 times more than the RAM size installed on your system

Step 10:

Type the Maximum Value in MB as 3 times more than the RAM size installed on your system

Step 11:

Click the Set button.

Step 12:

Click the OK button.

Step 13:

Click the OK button again.

Step 14

Restart your device.

Ok in that case there are no logs created in your system after the crash so I suggest you follow the below fix to resolve the system crashing issue.

Step 1:

Go to search box next to windows icon and type Edit Power Plan

Step 2:

Then click on Change advanced power settings

Step 3:

Expand Harddisk and then expand Turn off hard disk after

Step 4:

Set value for On battery and Plugged into 0 (Zero)

Step 5:

Click/tap on Apply and then press OK.

Step 6:

Restart the PC
