Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Installation Problems / Clarification

Hi,

I have been struggling with getting MSFS 2020 to install!

Pre-Purchased the Premium Deluxe Edition and i have a Windows 10 PC - and so far all attempts have failed at some point over the last 12 hours of trying.

First question - what is the order of installation that should be performed from the Microsoft Store across the items that are listed there in two parts:

  1. Manage - with just one entry "Microsoft Flight Simulator: Premium Deluxe" and
  2. Bundle Contents - that lists four sub-parts

2.1 "Microsoft Flight Simulator"

2.2 "Flight Simulator Deluxe Upgrade"

2.3 "Flight Simulator Premium Deluxe Upgrade"

2.4 "Digital Ownership"

Is there a particular order or hierarchy that these need to be installed?

i.e. do each of the sub-parts of point 2 above need to be installed individually and prior to the first part (i.e. point 1), or does installing the first (Managed) install all the others?

So far the downloads have been erratic, and i installed the first part and then launched it, it started up and then froze, and then crashed on restart. When trying to install the sub-parts, the computer just site there with "working" displayed on the sub-part line.

This is really frustrating!

Anyone able to provide some guidance or point to a set of instructions on how to get MSFS2020 installed?

thanks!

Yes. I cleared 165 gb of space in the solid state C drive and the installer suggested the C drive. As I understand it the program will refuse to install on either a machine that isn't sufficient spec, or into an area with insufficient room. After it accepted the authentication it then told me I can download MSFS now, but not to the C drive as there was insufficient space. It suggested the E drive.

The point is, the program loaded and is in the C drive. I know its there, because there is 110 gb more in there than when I started, but I can't see it or access it.

I can believe, having downloaded the 110 gb or so of program I need to download a further 107 gb. That makes close to 220 gb of space needed for the program.

I had the same issue when purchasing from the MS Store.

I found trying to install by using the MS Store App was not working when selecting INSTALL.

When I bypassed the Store and just used a Browser, such as MS Edge, went to the store in the Browser, logged in, and then selected INSTALL it worked fine.  I then when into the Contents/Components, did a Select ALL and installed ALL the Components.

This is a very simple, well-written question. He states it very understandably. And I am EXTREMELY interested in getting a STRAIGHT ANSWER to it.

We do not need some already published, wordy, imprecise, completely unhelpful page of non-information. I have the exact same question.

PLEASE Microsoft - ANSWER THIS QUESTION.

WHY? WHY should I have to run MSFS 2020 "as administrator"? Where is that published by MS???

Make a function in the store, give to a friend and transfer to google account

Found problem, change to the account Google.

the problem lies in the fact that it is impossible to download or install the game with other linked accounts that are not a Google account.
