Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Installation Problems / Clarification

Hi,

I have been struggling with getting MSFS 2020 to install!

Pre-Purchased the Premium Deluxe Edition and i have a Windows 10 PC - and so far all attempts have failed at some point over the last 12 hours of trying.

First question - what is the order of installation that should be performed from the Microsoft Store across the items that are listed there in two parts:

  1. Manage - with just one entry "Microsoft Flight Simulator: Premium Deluxe" and
  2. Bundle Contents - that lists four sub-parts

2.1 "Microsoft Flight Simulator"

2.2 "Flight Simulator Deluxe Upgrade"

2.3 "Flight Simulator Premium Deluxe Upgrade"

2.4 "Digital Ownership"

Is there a particular order or hierarchy that these need to be installed?

i.e. do each of the sub-parts of point 2 above need to be installed individually and prior to the first part (i.e. point 1), or does installing the first (Managed) install all the others?

So far the downloads have been erratic, and i installed the first part and then launched it, it started up and then froze, and then crashed on restart. When trying to install the sub-parts, the computer just site there with "working" displayed on the sub-part line.

This is really frustrating!

Anyone able to provide some guidance or point to a set of instructions on how to get MSFS2020 installed?

thanks!

This is the same screen im stuck on, after about 8 hours of waiting it got to about 90% then said it was decompressing, but when i tried to move my cursor i noticed it was frozen, waited 20 minutes with nothing happening, paused, reset, now its back to decompressing and freezing without fail. Running on Windows 10. On a BRAND NEW computer i got 3 days ago, so its not a lack of space/power.

On August 20th, I received the Microsoft Flight Simulator as a premium deluxe preorder box as a gift.

So far I have performed the DVD installation 4 times.

On the first attempt at installation, I was able to enter the 25-digit code.

    After that, however, nothing worked!

Further installation or download of the launcher fails.

My MS Store works with all apps except MSFS without any problems including updates!

I have already used all the “tutorials” in circulation several times! Unfortunately, all to no avail!

My Windows 10 is up-to-date (2004), graphics driver as well

I noticed that the "Gaming Services" service does not start!

Error message: The Gaming Services service has ended. A connected device does not work.

The device manager does not show any errors!

I removed all devices that were connected externally, unfortunately it didn't work!

I then used a tool from O&O (AppBuster) to uninstall the Gaming Services, Xbox app, Xbox bar, etc. Computer restarted.

Then I tried to install the simulator, unfortunately again an error!

But I saw the progress bar once!

The problem isn't a defective device or driver, the device manager is clean!

During the first installation I missed the fact that the Gaming Services were not completely installed.

The Gaming Services app is displayed as installed, but it is not.

Thus the start of the service is not possible!

I have already opened 2 support tickets at Microsoft, this was also confirmed to me by email from Microsoft, but no response from Microsoft!
