Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Installation Problems / Clarification

Hi,

I have been struggling with getting MSFS 2020 to install!

Pre-Purchased the Premium Deluxe Edition and i have a Windows 10 PC - and so far all attempts have failed at some point over the last 12 hours of trying.

First question - what is the order of installation that should be performed from the Microsoft Store across the items that are listed there in two parts:

  1. Manage - with just one entry "Microsoft Flight Simulator: Premium Deluxe" and
  2. Bundle Contents - that lists four sub-parts

2.1 "Microsoft Flight Simulator"

2.2 "Flight Simulator Deluxe Upgrade"

2.3 "Flight Simulator Premium Deluxe Upgrade"

2.4 "Digital Ownership"

Is there a particular order or hierarchy that these need to be installed?

i.e. do each of the sub-parts of point 2 above need to be installed individually and prior to the first part (i.e. point 1), or does installing the first (Managed) install all the others?

So far the downloads have been erratic, and i installed the first part and then launched it, it started up and then froze, and then crashed on restart. When trying to install the sub-parts, the computer just site there with "working" displayed on the sub-part line.

This is really frustrating!

Anyone able to provide some guidance or point to a set of instructions on how to get MSFS2020 installed?

thanks!

Last night, Windows decided to install the new Edge browser, without my knowledge, and now the flightsim doesn't work!!! It shows up in the task manager under background processes for 20-30 seconds, and then it disappears. Just like before. I am a patient man but ****????????? What is this ****????

And just as I suspected....Uninstalled it and now I can't install it again... Back to square one with having to reinstall Windows.

This must be the most embarrasing moment since Windows 98 crashed live on stage for Bill Gates.

I heard that before, but I bought from Aerosoft... So, Aerosoft login to buy. Maybe I should have never done that. Otherwise, they could have told us, only buy from micro****

But my problem is the MS Store I believe...

I don't know if this will help someone, but the thing that worked for me was doing the windows updates, Ms store updates. Then I made a new user account on the computer with the email I used to purchase the game, but this was after updating to the latest windows update 2004. With the new user account on the pc I logged in and upgraded the ms store on that account first. Then I went to the store and clicked on the flight simulator, from the menu selected the premium deluxe and pressed the blue install button on the top. Then before starting the game I installed the digital ownership by clicking on the dots next to the blue play/install button, then choose manage, and install the digital ownership if it has not already. I opened up the game by pressing play. This time it worked and game me the correct download. The file size for the premium deluxe was only 95 Gb and the wrong version it was giving me before was 91.xx Gb. So if you see the 95 Gb for install size you are getting the correct deluxe version. If you have the other deluxe version I assume the file size should be 92 to 95 Gb. Also on the deluxe premium version my computer was not showing up when I use the install on my devise button that pops up when we press the doted menu on side of blue play button. I assumed it wouldn't work, but it still worked by just using the blue install button on the correct version first on the new user account I made with the email. Hope this helps, sorry I'm bad at explaining. Hope this will help at least few of you. Thank you

I also tried far to many times but I read somewhere that you can change your audio out settings in the tool bar.

Worked right after that now I'm downloading the last 100GB of the game.
