Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Installation Problems / Clarification

Hi,

I have been struggling with getting MSFS 2020 to install!

Pre-Purchased the Premium Deluxe Edition and i have a Windows 10 PC - and so far all attempts have failed at some point over the last 12 hours of trying.

First question - what is the order of installation that should be performed from the Microsoft Store across the items that are listed there in two parts:

Manage - with just one entry "Microsoft Flight Simulator: Premium Deluxe" and
Bundle Contents - that lists four sub-parts

2.1 "Microsoft Flight Simulator"

2.2 "Flight Simulator Deluxe Upgrade"

2.3 "Flight Simulator Premium Deluxe Upgrade"

2.4 "Digital Ownership"

Is there a particular order or hierarchy that these need to be installed?

i.e. do each of the sub-parts of point 2 above need to be installed individually and prior to the first part (i.e. point 1), or does installing the first (Managed) install all the others?

So far the downloads have been erratic, and i installed the first part and then launched it, it started up and then froze, and then crashed on restart. When trying to install the sub-parts, the computer just site there with "working" displayed on the sub-part line.

This is really frustrating!

Anyone able to provide some guidance or point to a set of instructions on how to get MSFS2020 installed?

HI,

I could download the small launcher microsoft flightsimulator 2020 Delux about 990 mB in the MFS store/my library. When it was finished i pressed the key to start the launcher for the installed strip and when I come to screen with a single engine and a beautiful scenery I was asked to "Press any Key" the screen become black and still asked me to "press any key" I could do it thousand of times without the downloading the big pack started. Please any one know how to solve it? :)

I have that excactly too. But in my case there is 95 gig installed on my drive. Really don't understand.

I send my question also to zendesk, but no answer...

I post a ticket to microsoft support for 2 days ago and no response.

Have You an idea about why Your launcher start the download but not my?

I finally (after a few hours) got the 2nd part to download... I removed most my startup programs, then i restarted my computer. And then as soon as my computer restarted, i rightclicked on the microsoft flight simulator icon and ran as administrator.(note: I did not run the game from the xbox store or gamepass section)... It took a few minutes but then the install finally got past the black screen and the asobo logo popped up and then the blue line screen started. At the 86percent mark it seemed stuck... Waited about 15mins for progress.. nothing... Hit alt-F4 and then rebooted and clicked icon again... It resumed and then completed install and now its up and running ok... I even increased the rolling cache (in options under data).. and so far it looks all good. Hope this helps anyone who might be stuck... Thanks
