Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Installation Problems / Clarification

Hi,

I have been struggling with getting MSFS 2020 to install!

Pre-Purchased the Premium Deluxe Edition and i have a Windows 10 PC - and so far all attempts have failed at some point over the last 12 hours of trying.

First question - what is the order of installation that should be performed from the Microsoft Store across the items that are listed there in two parts:

  1. Manage - with just one entry "Microsoft Flight Simulator: Premium Deluxe" and
  2. Bundle Contents - that lists four sub-parts

2.1 "Microsoft Flight Simulator"

2.2 "Flight Simulator Deluxe Upgrade"

2.3 "Flight Simulator Premium Deluxe Upgrade"

2.4 "Digital Ownership"

Is there a particular order or hierarchy that these need to be installed?

i.e. do each of the sub-parts of point 2 above need to be installed individually and prior to the first part (i.e. point 1), or does installing the first (Managed) install all the others?

So far the downloads have been erratic, and i installed the first part and then launched it, it started up and then froze, and then crashed on restart. When trying to install the sub-parts, the computer just site there with "working" displayed on the sub-part line.

This is really frustrating!

Anyone able to provide some guidance or point to a set of instructions on how to get MSFS2020 installed?

    Yeah, its a crying shame!  I will never make this mistake again. They closed ACES Studio and hung us out to dry so why should this be any different?

    I’ve been working on this since release date and nothing works. It sounds like those who purchased anything above Standard are having issues. And for whatever reason Aerosoft had physical disks. Since I don’t live in Europe I’m stuck with the download method which obviously doesn’t work. 

    I paid twice as much as those who purchased Standard (which is working) and got nothing. Worst part is Microsoft is not providing support or solutions  that resolve our issue. 

    NEVER, NEVER AGAIN!

    P3D and X-Plane from here on out!

    Hi 

    I have a problem where "pc-fs-base-bigfiles-0.1.5.9" keeps on downloading over and over again and I have deleted the other fs base files and restarted it again but no results. I am frustrated with the download and I have spent 3 days trying to figure out but nothing works. Can some help me. I am using a steam edition of fs2020. I have tried to reinstall fs2020 restarted the download. I have turned off my firewall and windows defender as well.

    I have tried all this and other options suggested here in this thread.  How do I return the game, since this clearly does not install?

    I also tried far to many times but I read somewhere that you can change your audio out settings in the tool bar.

    Worked right after that now I'm downloading the last 100GB of the game.
