Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Installation Problems / Clarification

Hi,

I have been struggling with getting MSFS 2020 to install!

Pre-Purchased the Premium Deluxe Edition and i have a Windows 10 PC - and so far all attempts have failed at some point over the last 12 hours of trying.

First question - what is the order of installation that should be performed from the Microsoft Store across the items that are listed there in two parts:

  1. Manage - with just one entry "Microsoft Flight Simulator: Premium Deluxe" and
  2. Bundle Contents - that lists four sub-parts

2.1 "Microsoft Flight Simulator"

2.2 "Flight Simulator Deluxe Upgrade"

2.3 "Flight Simulator Premium Deluxe Upgrade"

2.4 "Digital Ownership"

Is there a particular order or hierarchy that these need to be installed?

i.e. do each of the sub-parts of point 2 above need to be installed individually and prior to the first part (i.e. point 1), or does installing the first (Managed) install all the others?

So far the downloads have been erratic, and i installed the first part and then launched it, it started up and then froze, and then crashed on restart. When trying to install the sub-parts, the computer just site there with "working" displayed on the sub-part line.

This is really frustrating!

Anyone able to provide some guidance or point to a set of instructions on how to get MSFS2020 installed?

thanks!

I subscribed to Xbox gamer pass only for FS2020, before launch day. Downloaded and installed the game. played a few hours and payed MS in-game for full game. Game was unlocked and playable. Just now installed the (last) patch, could not start the game anymore. Uninstalled FS2020 and all its content and dir. Tried to access the installer in the Microsoft store, not there. I know the Kiribati region change is a known bug, did read something.. But what do i do next? Pls advise how i get MSFS2020 back in the MS store under my library , without paying again

Update since my 9/5 post about downloading for MSFS not starting:

I have corresponded a couple times with Asabo Studios (Microsoft's FS partner).  About a week ago I sent them some data from my laptop that they requested plus videos of my attempts to download from the MS Store and Xbox installer to better define my issue.   Hopefully I will hear some good news from them soon.

Solved the problem here. Just needed to update the MS Store. Go to the 3 dots upper right corner and go "downloads and updates". Press "check updates". Try to install the MSFS again. It worked for me.

I just got the coolest error message ever.  I bought the download for the game and it's asking me to insert the disk.

im stuck and have been for since release in the 1.59 bigfiles loop. you'd think Microsoft would have tested this **** before releasing they have billions of dollars get 500 computers and check downloads on each one to make sure it works why would that have been so difficult? Swear the company is being ran by idiots. and before someone asks im running latest windows, Xbox app, Microsoft store, have plenty of fast memory and a 1gb internet connection, and turned off all the malware protection, ran as admin, deleted the download files and have reinstalled no less than 40 times. the MSFS team failed and they failed miserably.
