Open Windows Registry Editor Go to Path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Policies \ Microsoft right click and select New> Key . as shown below Name it WindowsUpdate Sorry I kept you waiting. because this morning I got Cumulative Update For Windows 10 Version 20H2 (KB4577063) Preview. Installed successfully (I have to Install it first). Against my better judgement, I did add the new WindowsUpdate Key. When it did not show up in the proper order of things, I immediately deleted it. I don't think just adding that will fix what is missing completely, from what I read on line. I'll leave it alone for now but thank you. For the life of me, I can't find the website I found this screen shot from: It totally shows what I had at ONE TIME - All the same except now for WindowsUpdate is missing. I know several of you said you don't have that either. Of course mine did not show the 2004 info as I have 1909 at this point but my keys were the same. I'm stumped. +-

I'm curious Dekota.. After you did a factory reset, did you need to install the new windows update again? I'm so weary from this stuff! As y'all can gather, I'm no computer whiz in the least. I don't feel I need to be fixing what they ruined. What happened to the days when we turn on our computer, do what we need to do and be done. You don't know what you got til it's gone I guess. Y'know that store: "U Break I Fix?" I feel like MS is running the store " WE Break and YOU Need to Fix!" Ridiculous. The more I keep searching and futzing around with things: this is what I'll end up with!

Replying to myself with a totally different issue: I've been having disconnect problems from the internet since the dreaded update. Lost it again this morning, ran the troubleshooter and this is what it showed: Thankfully, the troubleshooter fixes it every time. I've reset the router several times. In searching that problem, more hoop jumping. Crying Uncle!

This update doesn't work for me. It's nothing but glitches.
