In response. I recovered from the abomination of an Update by going into Safe Mode and restoring my computer to an August 31 date. Upon doing that, I noticed all 3 failed updates on Sept 8 were then showing as INSTALLED and everything working 100%.

It often says updates which have been installed then uninstalled are still installed.

So for people having problems, I would try to install updates in safe mode. One question though: when you wake up in the morning and see the updates already installing.... how to stop it and THEN go to safe mode to get the updates???? Miadumb. I still have not been able to find my restore points at all. Meh.

You should get a pop up screen showing information. I'll show screenshot. Hopefully it will tell you your activation status. Recently I needed to find my digital license and could not locate it. I went to the MS store (ugh) and downloaded a free simple program called ShowKeyPlus. Woola, I got my license code. Hope this helps you nathan!

Thanks Miabear. Ah yes, I now remember you doing that! So for people having problems, I would try to install updates in safe mode.
