How can I remove this update? The option to "rollback update" is un-clickable (grey?). Do i have to do w system restore/factory settings or something similar? I've only had the computer for a week and wouldn't be losing anything of value. How can I do this?

Two Windows 10 Users. One uses a Russian made antivirus program. One does not. The one that DOES cannot install the Security Updates. The one that does NOT could and did with no issues. The one that DOES says "Thanks for no help at all." They are welcome. Sorry Cassandra but that is nonsense and suggests decrying all that is not American. Kaspersky is a long standing and very reputable security programme developer and provider happily used by millions worldwide. I like other millions use Bitdefender, in my opinion the very best security suite available for many years. I have been trying to install Microsoft rotten Windows updates for almost a year now without success. I have tried to do so with all security programmes installed, all security programmes uninstalled, by rebooting 20 times in and out of safe mode following all and every kind of advice / suggestion from Microsoft support, Microsoft Community, the Pope, ET, 7 of Nine and Marilyn Monroe's adopted Granny. Nothing works and if you are suggesting a Russian conspiracy then that's simply bias. The fault here lies completely at the door of Microsoft who are knowingly dumping malware like garbage on their unfortunate victims. Microsoft not Kaspersky or any other figment of DT's numbskull. I have just spent another day installing forced manure updates, seeing my system have a heart attack and uninstalling said manure to get it working again. So please stop using this site to promote DT's madness. hitbit

I've done my system restore and it has worked. Sorry, would have done it earlier, but I was watching F1 free practice and doing other stuff on the PC and you need around 90 minutes to do the restore (times will vary according to your PC and what you have installed I imagine). Everything is now working fine for me and all updates are installed. I used the USB option and apart from having to reboot a couple of times it was all hands off. I would suggest anyone who has an issue should try this method. Hey Steve, been working on this for 48 hours now. I am creeping back from being cut off at the knees (no internet, no sound) many others are stuck even worse. I don't know other than what actions I have followed to at least get me back online and with sound but still lagging in many areas. What I followed and helped was Right click Start, Windows PowerShell (Admin), Wait for PROMPT "PS C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32>" Enter "services.msc" (no quotation marks), all of your services will come up.Almost everything was disabled. One by one I went in and changed the Status TO AUTOMATIC. Right click and go to Properties, under Startup Type: You will see disabled. Click the drop box down and choose automatic. Close and go on to the next one. That is the only way I was able to reactivate what I could including internet adapters, audio and Microsoft's Shadow files to open the system restore services. This at least gave me access back to many features but my system is still too unstable but it at least allows me to access many things to try to recuperate from this nightmare. Good luck everyone.

I've done my system restore and it has worked. Sorry, would have done it earlier, but I was watching F1 free practice and doing other stuff on the PC and you need around 90 minutes to do the restore (times will vary according to your PC and what you have installed I imagine).

OMG, you are in the thick of it. I can't help with most of your issues. I've been having internet (lost) connections many times over the past few days.
