SINCE THE MOST RECENT WINDOWS 10 UPDATE, OUR 'HP PRINTER' IS MALFUNCTIONING AND WINDOWS 10 WILL NOT INSTALL THIS PRINTER DRIVER FILE...IT'S NOT EVEN RECOGNISED WHEN I LOOK FOR AN APP TO INSTALL IT:

PLEASE HELP. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

I had this happen to me once.  One obvious thing.... in control panel (hardware and sound-devices and printers), is your HP  printer listed at all and is it set as your default printer? One time mine was changed to windows XPS document writer as the default printer.  I had to change the default to my printer. (Do you still have the disk that came with your printer to install drivers?)

    You can always go here

    https://support.hp.com/us-en/topic/windows-10-support-center-printing

and  Download the HP Print and Scan Doctor at the bottom of the page.  Other than that, perhaps someone else has an idea for you.

I have experienced something similar a few months ago. because Windows Update and Microsoft Store Stuck at 0% downloading. I tried the commands Dism / Online / StartComponentCleanup and sfc / scannow to no avail. download Tweaking Repair AIO Also the same. to no avail.

finally I Clean Install via USB stick. and successfully Fix Windows Update and Microsoft Store issues in Windows 10.
