Thank you Reno for posting this. I do take exception to the sentence "Microsoft Edge is the web browser
recommendedby Microsoft and is the default web browser for Windows." RECOMMENDED? Recommend to me means to give advice,
suggest, advise.
Due to the fact that we cannot UNINSTALL Edge is a
FORCED ADDITION (not a recommendation) and a complete means of trying to get us to use it! An analogy: I would
recommend you jump off the cliff and when you don't, I push you! :D
Any other browser I have installed I can completely get rid of if I want to. I did set my default to another browser, however, once in
awhile a link will open in EDGE. I immediately click out of it. If this is what Microsoft Support said they are totally wrong in using the word RECOMMENDED. They should say WE FORCE YOU TO KEEP edge on your computer -- like it or lump it. Total disregard
to what I want or need.
Going to the MS edge support website would be futile. They force us to keep edge no matter what. JMO!
I realize there are bigger and worse issues people are dealing with at the moment (me included) but this just irks me. Whenever I log into these boards, I get the nag screen at the top: "The new browser recommended
by Microsoft is Here. I always click no thanks. Since I already have EDGE forced on my machine, I'm thinking clicking "no thanks" doesn't seem to do much! I'm sure it's aimed at people who have not had this thrust upon them yet.
On another note: I read your bio and am truly impressed with your many accomplishments, mostly "self-taught"- based on your medical (dis)ability! Kudos to you! I have the utmost respect for your tenacity in becoming
very accomplished in many areas!
TY again for posting the reply from the MS support team.
