Don't hold your breath. We have all been waiting since last November for Microsoft to distribute a clean workable non destructive update for their horror show. The standard operation was updates destroyed computer, uninstall updates computer worked reaspnsbly. Now many are reporting that they cannot uninstall the destructive updates. This appears to be an escalation anx points to Windows updates either being Malware or having been infected by Malware. One way or the other it appears to be horribly corrupted. Microsoft's refusal to acknowledge there is a problem suggests it is a massive problem. RIP Windows.

Hello, I tried to do the September updates, but after reboot I got a generic BSOD. Reboot, attempt to automatically uninstall the update, fail, reboot, retry, uninstall done and return to normal. For now I have disabled updates, but this is only a temporary solution. ... So the question : how do I know when the 2004 (that is the culprit) update is "updated" so it wont break my system ?

My laptop automatically updated when I switched it off the other night. The next day I turned it back on and my desktop background had changed from a photo I chose a plain black. The taskbar, start, action centre, title bars and window borders all changed from the colour I had chosen to a white-ish grey. I have changed my background, the title bars and window boarders back to my original settings but it won't allow me to change the task bar, start and action centre. The tick box for this option is greyed out and it won't let me click on it (see image). Help Centre is no good as the instructions tell me to click this very tick box! Does anyone know how I change the colour? Very annoying!

All of my wifi networks were blocked from appearing after the September update. I uninstalled all of them and my wifi networks were restored. I have paused all new software updates for 7 days.
