Yes Thanks Alot Microsoft You Pushed This Update When I Had Automatic Updates Off And Now All My Files Are Gone Because Of This Update Please Help Me IDK if i can get my files back but im really **** pissed because ive lost everything ive been working on ChrisRoyer2, It is possible that you were thrown into a "temporary" profile after the update. You have a couple of options to try to recover: Restart you computer 4 times. (let up come up to the desktop before doing the next restart). Or Go into "Safe Mode" [Hold the "Shift" key while clicking "Restart"}. a. After the restart it will display the "Choose your option" screen. Select "Troubleshoot" b. When the "Troubleshoot" screen appears, select "Advanced options". c. On the "Advanced options" screen" select "Startup Settings". d. When the "Startup Settings" screen appears, click "Restart". e. After the Restart, you will get a list of options. Select "4". f. This should get you into "Safe Mode". Then click "Restart" again to get you computer back to normal mode. g. See if your files are now there. JohnD

Two Windows 10 Users. One uses a Russian made antivirus program. One does not. The one that DOES cannot install the Security Updates. The one that does NOT could and did with no issues. The one that DOES says "Thanks for no help at all." They are welcome. Sorry Cassandra but that is nonsense and suggests decrying all that is not American. Kaspersky is a long standing and very reputable security programme developer and provider happily used by millions worldwide. I like other millions use Bitdefender, in my opinion the very best security suite available for many years. I have been trying to install Microsoft rotten Windows updates for almost a year now without success. I have tried to do so with all security programmes installed, all security programmes uninstalled, by rebooting 20 times in and out of safe mode following all and every kind of advice / suggestion from Microsoft support, Microsoft Community, the Pope, ET, 7 of Nine and Marilyn Monroe's adopted Granny. Nothing works and if you are suggesting a Russian conspiracy then that's simply bias. The fault here lies completely at the door of Microsoft who are knowingly dumping malware like garbage on their unfortunate victims. Microsoft not Kaspersky or any other figment of DT's numbskull. I have just spent another day installing forced manure updates, seeing my system have a heart attack and uninstalling said manure to get it working again. So please stop using this site to promote DT's madness. hitbit

It is possible that you were thrown into a "temporary" profile after the update. You have a couple of options to try to recover:
