Harman Kardon Invoke speaker - can't pair Bluetooth

I just tried using my Invoke again for the first time in a while, and I can't pair via Bluetooth in order to play music from my phone.  If I say "Hey Cortana, pair Bluetooth," it responds and says it is entering pairing mode, but my phone doesn't detect it.  When I try pressing the bluetooth button on the speaker, nothing happens... the speaker does not enter pairing mode as expected.

I did not have this problem the last time I used it (probably 2-3 months ago).

I tried doing a full factory reset and setup, and it still does the same thing.  The speaker seems to be working fine otherwise... I can issue other Cortana voice commands (i.e. whats the weather, play radio station) and it responds properly.

The speaker has the latest FW:

2.0.4.067aa17.vs-ssh-main

Barracuda_libre-11.1842.0

Can anyone help?  Thanks!

    Exactly!  However, I was finally able to connect my Invoke/Cortana to the internet by using the Cortana phone app.  I downloaded it from the Google playstore to my phone and followed the instructions on the app to connect the Invoke.  It magically worked.  I can't explain it or have a single clue as to why it worked, but it did.  THEN I was able to connect Invoke/Cortana to my computer.  It has since disconnected once, but I was able once again to connect it using the phone app.  Give it a try and see if it works for you.  Otherwise, we're stuck with a stylish paperweight.

    Mine should be all set now. When it turned on again, the speaker announced the news of the discontinuing support that is coming.

    Best of luck! Search for an iphone mini 4 if you can...

    I somehow got mine to work following the same exact steps except while using my Ipad Mini 4 rather than my iPhone 11 pro.

    I hope you are all able to try attempting the same steps on an older device. I have no idea why this worked.

    Hopefully, I now have the new software and it will eventually work on my phone. for now, I'm going to leave it.

    I am having the exact same problem. The cortana was a perfect kitchen speaker, this holiday timing is not good. Hope somebody finds a solution but this loop does seem tricky.

    But your wifi router has a WPS button.

    You can also try to make your wifi router to have no password to see if you can set up the bluetooth. After you set up your bluetooth, then you can put the wifi password back on.

    Microsoft would not know the WPS button. You have to ask Harman Kardon.
