They are ending Cortana but they said the speaker can still be used as a bluetooth speaker. I cant get my speaker to pair either
Harman Kardon Invoke speaker - can't pair Bluetooth
I just tried using my Invoke again for the first time in a while, and I can't pair via Bluetooth in order to play music from my phone. If I say "Hey Cortana, pair Bluetooth," it responds and says it is entering pairing mode, but my phone doesn't detect it. When I try pressing the bluetooth button on the speaker, nothing happens... the speaker does not enter pairing mode as expected.
I did not have this problem the last time I used it (probably 2-3 months ago).
I tried doing a full factory reset and setup, and it still does the same thing. The speaker seems to be working fine otherwise... I can issue other Cortana voice commands (i.e. whats the weather, play radio station) and it responds properly.
The speaker has the latest FW:
2.0.4.067aa17.vs-ssh-main
Barracuda_libre-11.1842.0
Can anyone help? Thanks!

2020-12-13T22:32:20+00:00 I got mine to work on my Note 20 Ultra, I had the app already installed from previous phone. I had to try a few times but got it to work. Now let's hope that firmware update does work. Good Luck to all. I hope this site works for you guys/gals. Invoke FAQ (harmankardon.com) I hope we get a firmware update site for those who can't get the update via wifi.

2020-12-06T23:51:00+00:00 Hi and thanks for trying to help. Unfortunately, I use an iPhone. I'll keep checking this forum for possible fixes. So far though it looks as though MS released the update early (Prior to Jan as specified in their end of support to Cortana/Invoke email). But the settings were left in the wrong state as you can't set up BlueTooth connections prior to Cortana being set up first.

2020-12-06T19:35:12+00:00 Try downloading the Cortana Phone App from the Google Playstore to your smartphone. Once installed follow the directions within the app for connecting the Invoke. I was able to connect my Invoke to the internet using the phone app. From that point, I was able to connect to Bluetooth and Cortana started working again. That is the only way I have found that works.

2020-12-06T18:58:51+00:00 Good Idea and thank you. Just submitted my $00.05. It seems as though MS dished out the update earlier than expected and in the process bricked our speakers, as it still requires us to set up Cortana before we even have a chance to set it up via BlueTooth to anything else. I think we're entitled to full refunds. Thanks for providing the link!
Be safe and happy holidays!
