Harman Kardon Invoke speaker - can't pair Bluetooth

Mine does not respond to "Hey Cortana" but the blue light does show when I tap the device and so does the red ring on the mic button.

I also have a white streak that is spinning. Its very strange as its been connected all the time so thought it would have been updated automatically.

I havent used it for a few weeks and noticed today that I cant get it to connect via bluetooth. Is there any way to update the firmware now?

Try the following:

1. Unplug your Invoke for 2 minutes from power and plug back in
2. Wait until it boots up and you hear a corresponding sound
3. Try to test device for responses:

Response:

• Does Cortana respond when you say “Hey Cortana”?
• Does a blue circle appear when you tap the device?
• Does it show a red ring when you click mic button?
• Any indication that something is wrong?

Like white circle never stops spinning or red lights dance?

If answer on all above questions is “No”, then your device is probably updated. In this case try to click (short click) Bluetooth button and look up on your phone / PC whether you see new Bluetooth devices to connect or you got connected already to smth. Try to play some music from that device.

If any of the answers is yes, what do you see?

I've been working abroad for around 2 years, so I left my Invoke behind. I was in shock to find Cortana wasn't working anymore, obviously i have a different wifi now. I naively pressed the mute second for 5 seconds to restart the wifi set up. Which basically made my Invoke useless... To recover at least the BT I did the next:

1. Install the Cortana version 3.2 https://cortana.uptodown.com/android/descargar/1926208
2. Press the little reset button with a clip for 5 seconds
3. Set up your Harman through Cortana app (follow the steps and add your wifi password). You'll see it does connect and it tells you it will update. Wait around 5-10 minutes. Click the finish button and it will seem like your Invoke is dead.
4. Once updated, your Invoke should stop talking (farewell Cortana :( ). Press the BT button and you should be able to connect. That's it.

I hope this post helps someone (because i did lose around 2 hours).

I have tried the above steps, I am stuck at the second step itself, cant seem to reset Invoke with the reset built-in switch, I have held it for 5-10 seconds and also restarted Invoke to see. But nothing happens, not sure why the reset button is not working.

Came to step 3, need to mention here that I had to sue my NVIDIA Shield Android player to install Cortana version 3.2 from step 1, it does get installed and I could start the Invoke setup from Cortana version 3.2, but Invoke does not respond. Cant reset it either, not sure what to do to get the update.

Help most appreciated in advance, just want it to work, it has a great sound :)
