Harman Kardon Invoke speaker - can't pair Bluetooth

I've been working abroad for around 2 years, so I left my Invoke behind. I was in shock to find Cortana wasn't working anymore, obviously i have a different wifi now. I naively pressed the mute second for 5 seconds to restart the wifi set up. Which basically made my Invoke useless... To recover at least the BT I did the next:

1. Install the Cortana version 3.2 https://cortana.uptodown.com/android/descargar/1926208
2. Press the little reset button with a clip for 5 seconds
3. Set up your Harman through Cortana app (follow the steps and add your wifi password). You'll see it does connect and it tells you it will update. Wait around 5-10 minutes. Click the finish button and it will seem like your Invoke is dead.
4. Once updated, your Invoke should stop talking (farewell Cortana :( ). Press the BT button and you should be able to connect. That's it.

I hope this post helps someone (because i did lose around 2 hours).

I have tried the above steps, I am stuck at the second step itself, cant seem to reset Invoke with the reset built-in switch, I have held it for 5-10 seconds and also restarted Invoke to see. But nothing happens, not sure why the reset button is not working.

Came to step 3, need to mention here that I had to sue my NVIDIA Shield Android player to install Cortana version 3.2 from step 1, it does get installed and I could start the Invoke setup from Cortana version 3.2, but Invoke does not respond. Cant reset it either, not sure what to do to get the update.

Help most appreciated in advance, just want it to work, it has a great sound :)

Yeah... nice job completely skipping the immensely successful Surface line.

I just tried using my Invoke again for the first time in a while, and I can't pair via Bluetooth in order to play music from my phone.  If I say "Hey Cortana, pair Bluetooth," it responds and says it is entering pairing mode, but my phone doesn't detect it.  When I try pressing the bluetooth button on the speaker, nothing happens... the speaker does not enter pairing mode as expected.

I did not have this problem the last time I used it (probably 2-3 months ago).

I tried doing a full factory reset and setup, and it still does the same thing.  The speaker seems to be working fine otherwise... I can issue other Cortana voice commands (i.e. whats the weather, play radio station) and it responds properly.

The speaker has the latest FW:

2.0.4.067aa17.vs-ssh-main

Barracuda_libre-11.1842.0

I just checked and I have indeed been updated. I can connect with my iPhone and my iPad, the whole thing works just fine.

BUT I CANNOT connect with my Windows 10 desktop, it either does not see the Bluetooth connection in anyway, or in the rare case that it does, the connection fails, and the two devices are 18" apart. I have verified I can see other devices.

Clearly something is broken. Ironic that MS made it work with Apple products, but not Windows.
