what does error code: 0x8019019a mean

Sorry, I am quite new to these problems, to be honest a lot frustrating. I do not know if this email address concerned has this two step authentication, also no idea or how I would find out if I have less secure apps to access. Where would I also find an app specific password, other than mine of course.

If the account is Yahoo then it’s likely this is the problem:

There doesn’t seem to be any allow less secure apps to access the account so the above solutions are required.

Sorry Virginia, but nothing sems to be working. When going into it I did already have the 2 step verification and they emailed me with code to get into the account to get to the security page and had to change password again done only 2 days ago, but see no problems there. Why would I need a generate a third party password to get into the main app that came with computer, when it was working fine two days ago.

Email providers change their security to improve it so what worked one day can stop working the next.

Windows Mail is classed as a less secure app by Yahoo, Google & iCloud email so an app specific password is required.

Changing the account password will not work in these cases. You must use an app specific password or create the account again where you’ll receive a notification asking to confirm you wish to use your Google account details with the app.

Hello Virginia, I've created this app specific password, although why there is the need to go through this lenghly process when it was fine before. Anyway now it is asking me to get into my "Tools" on my menu tab, and as just working out why I am unable to do this is that I do not OR am unable to as having NO ribbon on my outlook client, and no button at the top to bring down the menu, nothing.

Do you see several tabs at the top> (File. Menus. Home. Send/receive etc).

Check under Menus for the ‘Tools’ option.

Are you able to right click on the account to change the settings?

I don’t use Outlook so hopefully we can work this out.

Which verson of Outlook are you using?
