I’ve mentioned several times what to do but there’s confusion arising due to mentioning Outlook/outlook.com then Windows Mail. If the problem is with Windows mail app then changing settings within outlook won’t work. I mentioned to ignore outlook but the next reply spoke of this again.

I’ve given you steps on what to do including setting the account up again using the app specific password but any reply mentions the account password being changed. I am not referring to the account’s password which remains the same but a dedicated password to enter within the the Mail app.

If the Mail app automatically set up the Gmail & Yahoo account then changing the password is not possible, hence why I mentioned setting these up again - you’d only have to enter your email account & the specific app password created for that specific account. I mentioned that if the account is imap then you wouldn’t lose messages & that you could leave the original account & just recreate it but that seemed unacceptable also.

This is why I’m out of options.

No, I am not at all happy to go through that agonising process with 'Microsoft Community' to be told after days, to of run out of options, meaning its up to me to unsolve a hopeless situation. With Microsoft being the main organisation who should be able to help out with "ANY" technical query, and even suggesting I can get help from joining, I find it all a bit of a joke and total let down! If recreating the account & entering the app specific password under Windows Mail then unfortunately I am out of options.
