I lost all my passwords on all my browsers

I lost all my passwords on all my browsers with the last Windows update. Every time I try to get support, I am directed to the spot to "save" passwords. They are still there allowing them to be saved. Each time I sign on to a site, I am asked if I want to save. I always say yes, but it still never saves. I had to change all my passwords and write them down because I didn't remember them because they were all saved before that update.  This is annoying, to say the least. Please, don't advise me on how to go into my browser settings and choose to save passwords. I know that. Everyone does.; It doesn't work!

I have been working on getting this fixed since the last update/ I got blocked out of my bank for attempting to use what I thought was my password. 

I wish to opt-out of Windows updates. They only serve to make PC users, annoyed!

    Dee, if you use one of the more mature browsers then these almost always work correctly for passwords. Chrome and Firefox let you sign in to sync passwords, Favorites, history, etc. so that al you have to do is sign in on any device to load them all back just like they were.

    Edge is not developed enough yet to be reliable for this. I would not depend on it but instead use FIrefox and Chrome which will not let you down or lose your data as long as you stay signed in. Another good thing is that it rarely signs you out once you sign in, you have to go and do it yourself. So you're not likely to lose anything.

    This may be not what you were hoping to hear, but it is the truth. I help people by the thousands in forums and see more cases than just about anyone, so you can trust me that this is what works best right now.

    Hi Greg - 

    I have the same issues as the other individual, but in my case, what occurs is, after the last Windows update which was mandatory for me earlier this week, all the saved passwords are gone, but when I re-enter them and click "remember password", when I shut down the pc for the night and turn it back on, ALL passwords are again gone.  In prior Windows updates this was never an issue, if I had to enter passwords and had the sites remember them, when the pc was shut then started again, the passwords were still there.  So whatever this last Windows Update did it changed that functionality and I have tried everything to bring it back.  I figure there must be some place to fix this. I use Chrome for my day to day and have Windows 10.  Thanks.

    I couldn't save on Edge, Chrome, or Firefox. I tried all three several weeks. When Microsoft upgraded to the newest update, it wiped out ALL of my passwords on every browser! Even though they all ask if I wanted to save passwords, I always replied "yes" but they didn't save. All my browsers are sent to remember passwords. 

    Edge was always a problem for me. I usually changed it to use IE. 

    I did follow the most recent suggestion under the apps and it did fix the problem. Although the wording there wasn't as described.

    Dee, did you sign in to sync in Chrome and Firefox? This is in each browser's Settings.

    So sign in now and set it to save passwords, save some passwords, sign out, then sign back in to make sure they are saved.

    I've never heard of Chrome or Firefox losing passwords as long as you have set each to Save passwords and are signed in when you save the passwords, then sign out and sign back in to test if it saves them.
