Can't turn on Bluetooth, Bluetooth adapter disappeared both in Device Manager and the Hidden Devices in Device Manager

Hi all,

I had the same problem with my AORUS B550 MASTER motherboard - After it went into sleep mode the Bluetooth could not be re-activated again, unless I did full power down and unplug as described in the previous comments.

I changed my windows settings and it solved the problem.

I'm using Windows 10 Pro 20H2 and firmware F11p for the motherboard.

Go to Settings, go to Power & Sleep section.

Click on Additional Power Settings under Related settings.

On your current Preferred plans click on Change plan settings.

Click on Change advanced power settings.

I changed a number of settings here so i'm not sure exactly which one it was, but I suspected it was one of the following:

• Wireless Adapter Settings - Changed to Maximum performance
• USB settings - Changed to disabled

**EDIT:**Actually the above steps didn't work. The Bluetooth still stops after waking up from sleep mode.

I looked into it further and other people have said it was actually an issue with the Realtek 2.5G LAN chip and this issue also effects other motherboards using this chip as well.

The following fix has been OK for me, but haven't tried it for long periods of sleep mode yet.

Go to Device Manager , Network adapters, Realtek Gaming 2.5GbE Family Controller.

Right click on Propertie s **,**go to Advanced tab and change the following settings:

Disable all the following settings:

-Advanced EEEE 

-Energy-Efficient Ethernet

-Gigabit Lite 

-Green Ethernet

-Power Saving Mode

I noticed that the latest Intel Bluetooth driver has the following comment 'On some systems, Bluetooth device may show a yellow bang in Device Manager after rebooting or resuming from Sleep/ Hibernation mode.' The release notes are here

I installed this but the Bluetooth hardware still disappeared. However, I had previously disabled a setting in Device Manager on the USB Root Hub to which the Bluetooth device was attached.  I reenabled the setting 'Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power' on the USB Root Hub. With the latest Intel driver I have not had any failures since but it has only been a few days.

I did that previously and it didn't work.

I had to disable to power saving for the Realtek 2.5G LAN chip.

I've updated my previous comment and listed out the steps i took to solve it.

So whatever I have done (maybe the flash back to an older BIOS F2) recently seems to have fixed my Bluetooth issue permanently. It's odd though I was running an older BIOS and it didn't work however now it's fixed. I have the Gigabyte B550I (mini ITX) Aorus Pro AX rev.1.0 motherboard and did have a Beta Bios which has since been removed from Gigabytes BIOS files and somehow I think that was the cause. Regardless I've been running glitch free now for a couple weeks.
