Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Installation Problems

I have managed to get as far as the "Welcomem Set Your Experience" screen ==> Content Manager" that seems to keep restarting the download for "asobo-aircraft-b787-10-0.1.35.fspackage".

The download will sometimes get to around 30% and then reset back to start again, while other times it may only get to 7% or 12%.

Why is this happening?

My internet is reasonably stable with a consistent download bandwidth of between 30MBPS to 50MBPS.

    Been trying to get past content manager downloading and installing for 4 days now. The command line trick mentioned didn't make any difference, and between 100-200Mbit/s connection.

    Always redownloading ASOBO-AIRPORT-SEQM-MARISCAL-SUCRE-QUITO-0.1.27.FSPATCH.PART. Deleting and restarting doesn't help.

    Well, I managed to get the download running, finally.  I left it to run overnight and woke up this morning to a Blue Screen of Death.  "We're just gathering information" sat for an hour at 0% after I first saw it (and who knows how long before) so I powered the whole thing off to get my PC running again.  Now when I open Flight Simulator, I get that beautiful picture of the small plane with the gear going up, the soft music... and nothing else.  It isn't trying to update but it's not doing anything else at all.  I have to use Task Manager to close it because there's no menu or anything.  Very, very annoying for a $120USD piece of software.

    Hello, I have another problem after solving "asobo-aircraft-b787-10-0.1.35.fspackage" problem. The loop started from "Downloading asobo-airport-lemd-adolfo-suarez-0.1.21.fspackage..." now. I have been trying to download updates for 4 days. By the way, I formated my computer 2 times during these procedures. I believe Microsoft is giving privilege to some regions and somebodies.

    Argh, I'm having the exact same issue.  I don't have the knowledge to change folder names midstream when I can barely find the frakkin' things.  MS needs to fix this.  Since everything is all automated, a hanging/restarting file download isn't fixable here.
