Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Installation Problems

I have managed to get as far as the "Welcomem Set Your Experience" screen ==> Content Manager" that seems to keep restarting the download for "asobo-aircraft-b787-10-0.1.35.fspackage".

The download will sometimes get to around 30% and then reset back to start again, while other times it may only get to 7% or 12%.

Why is this happening?

My internet is reasonably stable with a consistent download bandwidth of between 30MBPS to 50MBPS.

    The only solution i ended up with was getting a refund and reinstalling p3dv5. So im flying again which is more thanni can see many people are not as of today. Microsoft sure missed the mark on this after baiting people for iver a year.

    Finally i got it down :) no stops in the download but with 7,7Mb/s it took some time.

    I see that i’m not alone - and for those of you who are still facing download issues: embrace yourself! Life is not much better at the end og the white loading line!

    You just enter new forums to complain about the ingame bugs :)

    btw Vish1975.. I still think a VPN might would have helped us, as I suspect the upload server to give different DL speeds depending on the recognised region. I can’t see any other answer.

    Thomas, I wasted >100 hours failing to download to a brand new PC with better than recommended specs.  Ultimately I returned it to the retailer who cheerfully finished the download in only a few hours and gave it back to me, working.  Sadly we could not pinpoint exactly what he did differently.  I had tried most of the stuff listed in the forums and I believe he did the same but also got rid of anything that might be creating conflicts.  Easy enough on a brand new PC, I had not even put my mail on it.  The one thing I know he did differently was totally uninstall my trial version of MacAphee anti-virus rather than just turn it off which is what I did.

    vpn won't work. 

    I'm downloading other stuff extremely quickly but MS Flight Sim has been stuck on 8Gb of 110Gb for 8 hours so far. 

    It's cr*ppy server end. They've obviously not bothered putting a fat internet pipe at the data center again. Obviously haven't tested the game AT ALL (public Beta IS NOT testing)
