When I start up the game it tells me to press any button to start. I press a button and then it tells me to insert the disk and press continue. I don't have a disk because I purchased the premium Deluxe Edition online it's bought-and-paid-for it says the game is installed but everytime I press continue it just pops up again please insert disc.

Our friends at Xbox always have something to share 😉 Here is the known issue and the workaround:

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/xbox/forum/all/known-issues-for-game-launches-august-2020/b1ac114c-7799-4946-b8f8-1c50ad5926d5

    Microsoft Flight Simulator

    • Known Issue: Some users seeing a "Please insert the Microsoft Flight Simulator disc" error when launching the game on Windows 10.
    • Workaround:  In order to play the game digitally on Windows 10, you will need to have the Digital Ownership File installed as it is required to grant the necessary permissions to play. If you already have this file installed and are running in to this error, please uninstall and reinstall this file only and this should resolve the issue. There is no need to uninstall the entire 127+GB base game files. Uninstalling this small 10MB file is all that will be needed.

    Try this:

    https://flightsimulator.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360015985699-Error-message-Please-insert-disc-

Now that Microsoft Flight Simulator is officially released in your region, this error message should disappear.

If the problem persists, please do the following:

Check your time and location settings:

    • Select Start , then select Settings > Time & Language.
    • Select Date & time to verify your time settings and select Region to check your location. These settings need to show your current location and time zone/the timezone associated to the account you made the purchase on.

Deactivate Windows Defender and/or any firewalls

    • Open Start. . ...
    • Open Settings. . ...
    • Click. Update & Security. ...
    • Click Windows Security. This tab is in the upper-left side of the window.
    • Click Virus & threat protection. ...
    • Click Virus & threat protection settings. ...
    • Disable Windows Defender's real-time scanning.
    • Set game priority to high
    • Turn off any overlays

    I found the solution.

Get a refund from Microsoft and buy from Steam..... Problem solved, game has installed and now I'm playing.... Imagine that 🤷‍♂️
