Flight simulator please insert disc???

When I start up the game it tells me to press any button to start. I press a button and then it tells me to insert the disk and press continue. I don't have a disk because I purchased the premium Deluxe Edition online it's bought-and-paid-for it says the game is installed but everytime I press continue it just pops up again please insert disc.

    Hi there I'm having the exact same problem, bought the premium deluxe edition with digital copy. Installs in seconds which should take hours with the size of the game. Game starts then always says insert discs ????

    I've tried to uninstall and reinstall this same issues?

    I have the same issue, the program worked for a month even after the first patch. The second patch downloaded and appeared to fully install. Afterwards I noticed some of the content was missing, The more I tried to repair or reset the program things rapidly deteriorated. After a couple of more days of trying to get the program functioning, in frustration, I uninstalled it. Now, when I attempt to reinstall the program they asked for a disc. I don't have one. Anyone have any idea what to do now?

    What help me was setting the time and date right, for some reason my pc move to pacific time and im in central time zone

    Hi Dontask,

    Is your PC connected to the Internet and the drive has 150 GB space?

    says

    To install Microsoft Flight Simulator to a different folder, click "Browse" and select a new destination folder if you have created one already or create a new folder before saving that new path.

    *The drive selected for installation must have at least 150 GB of free space available*

    MSFS wanted to default install to /......myname/appdata/..../ for some strange reason when I installed it.  Most people would not catch this during install while clicking "next" without reading.  If the /view/Hidden Items/ checkbox is not checked in explorer, the sim will not see the install files the second time it starts.  The install location should be changed in MSFS settings. Why the default install location is the $120 question.

    I am getting this problem now.... I had originally gotten the xbox game pass ultimate and downloaded the game and played it without issue. I changed my sub to standard xbox gamepass pc and i cant play MSFS. insert disc error. I fully deleted all files and reformatted the drive the files were on. Thinking the digital ownership thing my be conflicting. All downloaded again... still an issue...

    Check that your Microsoft Store account and your Xbox account is on the same account. Having a different account active on the Xbox app caused the "insert disk" error for me. Switching to the same account fixed this.
