Worked for me. Uninstalled Digital Ownership. Thanks.
But won't I need it again?

When I start up the game it tells me to press any button to start. I press a button and then it tells me to insert the disk and press continue. I don't have a disk because I purchased the premium Deluxe Edition online it's bought-and-paid-for it says the game is installed but everytime I press continue it just pops up again please insert disc.

I started by changing the territory and Timezone on my PC to that of Kiribati Island (but not language!). I don't know why apart from seeing that others had done this to successfully execute the changes needed to run the software.
From my Xbox account I paid for a Game Pass for PC subscription for a £1 (I'm in the UK) for the first month using the introductory special offer and then connected my PC to the router using an ethernet cable. From my Xbox account using the Game Pass I was then given the option to Play Flight Simulator 2020 as I had previously loaded the software.
Flight Simulator 2020 then attempts to install patch software which can take some time (several hours) but needs to be installed before you can use it. I would definitely recommend using the ethernet cable in preference to Wifi as the wifi kept dropping out and just couldn't handle the volume of data transferred during the patch installation.
Don't forget to cancel your Game Pass subscription before your introductory month is up unless you want to continue to pay full price ~£7/month.
Run* the command wsreset.exe if you bought the game from the Microsoft Store. Proceed to run MSFS after executing the command. It should work as normal.
*Right click the windows start button and select the run option. Type the command in.
Thanks Jan for that bit of information. The program download process is so unnecessarily cumbersome and flawed. If anything occurs during the reinstallation You're done. You can't back out or go forward, like me, you're stuck in a loop. Even the MSFS Team hasn't been able help me. I'm not even sure if I buy a fresh SSD and reload Wind10 from scratch I can recover my MSFS program from the Microsoft store or XBOX game. Richard Ziller
