Flight simulator please insert disc???

When I start up the game it tells me to press any button to start. I press a button and then it tells me to insert the disk and press continue. I don't have a disk because I purchased the premium Deluxe Edition online it's bought-and-paid-for it says the game is installed but everytime I press continue it just pops up again please insert disc.

    same issue:

    • W10 2004, all packages updated
    • FS 2020 DISK version
    • impossible to add the "Digital Ownership", the only option is "redeem" but while puting the digital code from the card, it says "already redeemed"

    The only workaround that is working currently without the physical disk:

    • I create an ISO from my first DVD
    • Mount the iso
    • Launch the sim, no more "please insert disk"

    Having a 8GB iso in addition of the 100GB is not an issue, but this workaround is not acceptable at all!

    I also tried to pay for the gamepass, then the "digital ownership" became available for the installation.

    But apparently that package might be bound with the version from the gamepass... still the please insert disk error...

    Same problem here got a digital version, that wants a disc inserted before starting the content manager. I talked to the microsoft support about an hour, they said its a known problem, but the first level support could not fix it. They opend a case "at the developers", but this will take some days till i get an reply.  Best solution seems to be refund and steam....

    OK, I followed our instructions and have installed XBOX APP (BETA).

    Once installed I was automatically signed-in and FS2020 is listed under "Games I own". Nothing was downloaded, no digital ownership or something.

    So I click the FS2020 icon on the left hand side in the XBOX APP to run the game. The game begins to load but then stops and asks for the disk to be inserted. What a joke.

    Let me repeat. I do own the disk version of the sim.

    Thank you, but by machine is a HP with the network connection set to "Private" and it still asks for the disk.

    To fix this issue, you need to install the XBOX APP (BETA) on your PC, following the steps type in the search bar "Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020", it'll then ask you to install depending on if your Microsoft account you bought it on is signed in to the Xbox App on your pc, it'll then download the digital ownership and allow you to access the official launcher of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. 

    If you're still having problems, reply back and I'll gladly give more fixes, if I know how of course lol.
