Flight simulator please insert disc???

Hi, what seemed to make it work for me was updating to the current version 2004 of Windows 10 and the Microsoft rep I was working with also talked me through resetting the app itself.  Go to all apps using the windows button, right click on the microsoft flight simulator app,  then more-settings,  then a new window will open.  Scroll down and hit the Reset/reset button.

I am not sure which item corrected it for me, or if it was a combination of both as the windows update and the app reset actions were completed at the same time.   I also had to reboot my computer a couple of times because it seemed like it was frozen after restarting the app where the insert disk message did not appear.  It then went into a download screen for 95 Gb which took me about 3 hours to download and install.  It seems to be working now but I don't know how to do anything yet because I haven't hooked up any of my flight items e.g. joystick, yoke.

my mistake. i turned off the firewall but not the antivirus. after doing that i uninstalled and restart with the installation. now it was different becaus i could see the total amoun of download (in previus phase it was not consider). after that i manually installed the digital ownership.... and now it works.... just waiting for the 95 GB of upgrades... ;)

Possible resolution I've discovered. If you have a machine that was provided by an OEM (HP, Dell, etc.), it's possible that they've put your network connection into the "Public" domain (Network Profile) rather than "Private". If you click on your WiFi icon in the system tray, find your active connection and click properties, the screen that appears will allow you to change it from Public to Private. Once I did this, I was able to get past this without having to disable Windows Defender Firewall or the Real-time Protection antivirus setting. 

If anyone could try this and let me know if it resolves your issue, it would be appreciated. Of course I'm not 100% certain that this one setting is what fixed my issue or not, but if this does resolve it, others will be able to benefit and Microsoft can add it to their list of recommendations for their Store troubleshooting page.
