I have a i9 5.Ghz with 32Gb Ram, Windows 10 Pro, Nvidia RTX2080Ti and even when I put the graphics on low as recommended with Nvidia Experience the game crashes with error  Critical Process Died!

I have benched my video card and all Games run perfect and high settings and never crash.

Understanding that this game has to render many objects in any given scene which is understandable however when I cannot run even at a low settings is not exceptable please get me touch of support to get a refund of this game please. I purchased the most expensive opition.

Most disapointed

I have the exact same issue. I have a Ryzen 7 3700 X (stock), 32 GB RAM, Radeon RX 5700 XT (slightly undervolted). Sometimes I can play for 10 minutes, sometimes 40 minutes then all of a a sudden green screen on the screen with HDMI then PC reboots. I monitor the temps and they are normal, GPU idling at 60-65 C, CPU at 55-60 C.

No other game or app is doing this. I can play hours of Division 2, F1 2019, Gears 5 and so on. MSFS is the only game that is crashing my PC. I've just spend a lot of money upgrading to this new setup but cannot enjoy the sim cause I know it will crash.

I've also tried everything from increasing the virtual memory, deleting logitech software, running the GPU at default, disabling v-sync, re-installing the game and so on but nothing seems to work.

Is someone at ASOBO or MS reading this? I hope they will so that this issue is getting sorted out!

So a quick update from my part. The game is not crashing anymore, have been playing for hours and hours the last 2 days.  As mentioned earlier I had a slight undervolt on my Radeon RX 5700 XT and can play all the games I want with no crash what so ever...except MSFS, so I dialed the wattman settings to default and increased the memory to 1850 Mhz and has worked since then no crash what so ever.

The strange thing here is that when running undervolted on the GPU I did that because of lower Watts, lower temps but same performance as stock so basiclly the cards runs cooler, but MSFS does not like that for some reason. Luckily wattman has different game profiles that you can apply and its just a push of a button to have the specific settings for MSFS and the undervoltage settings for other games.

Hope this helps someone with Radeon 5700 XT cards out there.

Glad to hear your issue was with undervolting your video card has solved the problem. I have only flown MS2020 a couple of hours so far since my tweak. I had the crash problem with even pretty low settings.

I have a Nvidia Rtx 2070 and overclocked it for Xplane. Since setting it to default.......NO issues and a consistent 60fps at high settings. I also deleted and reinstalled the sim. Not sure if that was necessary.

Nice that is working for you!

Looks like MSFS does not like other than default or stock settings for the GPU. Only tweak I have is 100 Mhz more on the mem from 1750 to 1850 Mhz and it seems to be working. Its giving around 30-35 fps on Ultra and 1440p which I am more than happy with.

Since I set the FPS to 20 and changed it to Low setting, it has only crashed a few times and I have mosty been flying a lot.I have even increased the graphics  it to medium and it still ran ok, only crashing after an hour. I see there is another big patch that has been released and I hope that this might be a fix?
