I have a i9 5.Ghz with 32Gb Ram, Windows 10 Pro, Nvidia RTX2080Ti and even when I put the graphics on low as recommended with Nvidia Experience the game crashes with error  Critical Process Died!

I have benched my video card and all Games run perfect and high settings and never crash.

Understanding that this game has to render many objects in any given scene which is understandable however when I cannot run even at a low settings is not exceptable please get me touch of support to get a refund of this game please. I purchased the most expensive opition.

Most disapointed

    Your'e lucky Sayeed!

    I'm still having problems.

I read somewhere that with the update it's best to reinstall, but you could "reset".

So I reset and it started to download from scratch.

Unfortunately it hung up while downloading (hardware reset required).

So now I don't even have it on my computer any more.

I have asked for an automatic 14-day refund, but Microsoft count the 14 days as starting from the date of pre-order and not from the date of launch, which in my opinion is completely wrong legally.  I have pointed out to them that in any case if a customer purchases a product which does not work, then the purchaser normally is entitled to their money back.

Here's one for ya. I just upgraded from an intel pentium g4560 to a Ryzen 7 3700x--meaning I also swapped motherboards. Though I have gotten the game to run continuously once, I for some unknown reason can barely get the game to get past the message saying i dont meet the minimum requirements (Yeah, Ive got a gtx 1050; cant afford a new card yet). HOWEVER, the game would launch and even get to the world FINE on the OLD HARDWARE. Ive no idea what the heck to do. Ive already had to reinstall the game installer about 9 times, and i dont wanna sit through downloading 100GB again.

Hi Jeremy, who did you deal with? I applied for a refund and got a standard no, because it was over the 14-days. I am thinking of raising a formal complaint and wondered if you had a contact address you have been dealing with? Another option could be set up a post to ask for all those who are having the same problem (I suspect there could be 100s) to join together to fight MS for a refund and/or a social media campaign to alert people that this game is flawed - thoughts? Hi Graham

If you claimed the refund using the 14 day online form (where you have to explain why you are asking for a refund beyond 14 days) then you should have received a standard acknowledgement email "Thanks for contacting Microsoft Support for Xbox - I understand you are requesting a refund - we are looking into your request" followed by a "not eligible" email.

These emails have a reference in the "subject" line and if you click "reply" you should be able to communicate with a decision maker, although I'm not sure it is a human being or a virtual one.  Your reply goes to an email address ******@css.one.microsoft.com and seems to be routed to the same responder.

After getting nowhere with any attempt to persuade that responder to approve the refund (it was completely oblivious to the rights and wrongs of the issue), I asked for the case to be reviewed by a supervisor and explained my argument again.  This resulted in an automated rejection from a different responder.

My breakthrough came when I emailed them as follows:-

Oh well in that case it appears that my only remedy may be through the courts.

In that respect, I would be grateful if you could confirm the following:-

    (a) Have I completed all possible internal reviews and appeals within Microsoft to resolve this matter?  Or is there another stage I could take this to, like complaints, conciliation or appeal?

    (b) If not, please confirm that the appropriate address for me to send court proceedings (bearing in mind I am in Australia) is Microsoft's head office in Australia, that is:

    Microsoft Corporation

    1 Epping Road

    North Ryde

    NSW 2113

If so it would seem appropriate that I bring the case through the New South Wales Civil and Administration Tribunal, since my purchase of MS Flight Simulator 2020 is likely to be covered by Australian Consumer Law.

If you could confirm that I am correct that Australian Consumer Law applies to the sale I would be grateful. That's important because under the ACL if something is supplied which doesn't work, then the customer is entitled to their money back (irrespective of any terms of sale).  I'm sure you have a similar law in the US.

Please note that there will be costs involved in the proceedings, which I will be claiming from Microsoft.

It may be that an email like that has some trigger words which route the email to a human with some authority to approve a refund.  Obviously the wording needs to be changed for other countries of purchase.  Within a few hours I got a reply saying that my purchase money would be refunded, and I received the money back a few hours after that.

Since I still want to purchase MSFS 2020, and some people report that it works OK, I shall wait for the next update and then start again with the ordinary version.  I made the mistake before of pre-ordering (this ate into my 14 day refund start date) and purchasing the premium version.
