So you went to the actual site and downloaded it throygh your web browser? I have NVIDIA too and I downloaded what I thought was all the latest and greatest theoygh the app in the taskbar.
Flight Sim 2020 keeps crashing even with the a beast of a PC and Video card?
I have a i9 5.Ghz with 32Gb Ram, Windows 10 Pro, Nvidia RTX2080Ti and even when I put the graphics on low as recommended with Nvidia Experience the game crashes with error Critical Process Died!
I have benched my video card and all Games run perfect and high settings and never crash.
Understanding that this game has to render many objects in any given scene which is understandable however when I cannot run even at a low settings is not exceptable please get me touch of support to get a refund of this game please. I purchased the most expensive opition.
Most disapointed

2020-08-22T15:01:15+00:00 Hi,
I became very frustrated trying run FS2020, it would just stop and close.
Studying the GPU performance I noticed that the GPU would go to zero just before a crash. Mmmm, a hint.
Went into device manager and checked the driver for the GTX 1070 and all seemed well, but the published date was a bit old and I couldn't download a newer version. What to do?
Went to the NVIDIA site and checked on drivers. It was difficult to tell as the version numbers had a different format, but the NVIDIA driver seemed newer, so I downloaded it and installed it.
As a result the game doesn't crash anymore.
Now, to configure my flight controller.

2020-08-22T13:44:06+00:00 Add another one to your list! I have a similar spec PC but with an RX2070 graphics card, All settings in FS2020 are at medium level yet it crashes and reboots almost every time when accessing a flight. Mine is the Premium deluxe and this simply isn't good enough especially for the price of this game. If you cannot sort this with a patch very soon then I will seek a refund.

2020-08-22T07:05:53+00:00 I too have a similar beast of a PC with pretty much the best parts I could buy as of last month. Not overclocking, no overlay running, just the sim. Crash to desktop happens almost everytime I Fly. Sometimes during flight and sometimes when moving between menus. I first noticed this when I was doing the tutorials and I would select "Next lesson" and CTD would happen 100% of the time so I started returing to the main menu instead. This worked for the Lessons part of the sim. Pretty dissapointed with the amount of crashes at this point. I hope there's an update soon.
Are you by chance using any CH product? I wanted to try my Thrustmaster HOTAS I just got for Xbox One and PC. I had the expectation that it was going to crash to desktop within 10 minutes but I did want to see how it felt at least. I just flew around 1.5 hours at least around tree top level mostly around MCO and Disney and never had a problem. Usually it crashes before I even get to International Drive. I had been using a Honeycomb yoke, CH Pedals and the CH throttle. With only just the thrust master, I actually turned the sim off on my terms for the first time since downloading it. It's just a thought. Not sure if I will continue to have it work smoothly or not.
