Flight Sim 2020 keeps crashing even with the a beast of a PC and Video card?

Guys, its obvious now that our issues hahs nothing to do with how powerful our PC’s are. My PC regularly gets 144 to 175 FPS and is always very stable when playing a variety of other games and sims that are known to challenge even the best systems.  

I have an 38” ultra wide 3840 X 1600 IPS display with 144 Hz (175 Hz overclocked) and 1ms response time. 

My PC has: 

RTX 2080ti Ultra Gaming Hybrid Water Cooled GPU

1 TB NVME M.2 SSD 

500 GB SATA SSD 

i9 8600K CPU 

16 GB DDR4 3600 RAM

I have no issues playing other very system intensive games and sims with all max graphics settings and I usually get 144 to 175 FPS. 

With MSFS, the sim regulary freezes and then crashes my entire PC and when the sim does actual run for short time without freezing and crashing, I’m averaging 15 to 30 FPS, but its rare that i can fly for more than 10 minutes without it freezing and crashing my PC. Then it takes 10 minutes by the time my PC reboots and I can get all the way back onto a flight. 

Same here. Something is surely wrong with MSFS. I'm waiting for Microsoft to take action.

I have a i9 5.Ghz with 32Gb Ram, Windows 10 Pro, Nvidia RTX2080Ti and even when I put the graphics on low as recommended with Nvidia Experience the game crashes with error  Critical Process Died!

I have benched my video card and all Games run perfect and high settings and never crash.

Understanding that this game has to render many objects in any given scene which is understandable however when I cannot run even at a low settings is not exceptable please get me touch of support to get a refund of this game please. I purchased the most expensive opition.

OMG, I guess add me to the list!  I can't believe this is happening to my PC, I just spent $2000 on a REALLY high end computer for work (I use civil engineering software), it has latest i7 CPU, 64GB RAM, 5GB nVidia card, 500GB SSD drive........HOW MUCH MORE DO I NEED!  The only thing I can think of is that my internet is only 12 mbs as I live rural, but even so, Microsoft can't figure out how to work around this?  I'm at my wits end, I sometimes get it to work, and sometimes it doesn’t.  Hoping someone at Microsoft is listening and patches this $70 piece of software up.  C'mon Microsoft!

I have the same problem and am not going to mess around with all those options, I can't get to the actual gameplay and am very dissapointed after waiting so long for the updates, I want to enquire about a refund as well as I HAVEN'T EVEN GOT IN THE PLANE YET!!!!

I have a pretty poweful system with a:

-EVGA Geforce Nvidia RTX 2080ti Ultra Hybrid Gaming GPU that is water cooled

-i5 8600K CPU

-16 GB of DDR4 3200 RAM

-Asus Ultra Gaming Motherboard

-1 TB NVME M.2 SSD 

-500 GB SSD 

My system has a $1,500 GPU that is literally the most powerful Nvdia GPU available, other than the $2,500 Nvdia Titan. My NVME M.2 SSD is one of the fastest consumer SSD’s on the market. My CPU speed, the size and speed of my RAM, and my mother board are all good, but not great, but well within the Recommended levels for MSFS. 

I removed all the overclocks on my GPU, CPU, motherboard, and RAM because some people are saying that overclocks could be the cause of some of the stability isssues with MSFS 2020. 

I’ve also tried every recommendation from Microsoft support and from expert articles and Youtube video, which included changing a bunch of settings on my PC and graphics card, as well as in the MSFS application. Also, I am not using any 3rd party plug-ins like SIMCONNECT or FSUIPC, which are both known to cause serious FPS drops and stability issues with MSFS 2020.

With all of these changes implemented and without any overclocks, I still can’t get my FPS to average more than 30 FPS and the MSFS application is still extremely unstable, constantly freezing and crashing, not only the application, but also my entire PC. 

Its continuously crashing my PC whenever I try to save a cache in the app settings, on the map cache page. The app is frequently crashing my PC when I hit the “Ready to Fly” button. The app is also frequently crashing my PC in the middle of flights. 

I can rarely get into a new flight and complete even a 30 minute flight without the app crashing my entire PC at some point in the flight set up process or during the flight itself. 

I’m at a complete loss of what fo try next. I did buy a new Intel 10th Gen i9 10900K CPU, 32 GB of DDR4 3600 RAM, and a new higher end gaming motherboard, but I haven’t had time to install of of this yet. This is the highest performance consumer-grade Intel CPU on the market, plenty of very fast RAM, and one of the best gaming motherboards money can buy. 

I had planned to do these upgrades, not just for MSFS 2020, but also for DCS World, some space sims, and some other new games, as well adding VR to my setup in the near future. 

But the truth is that unfortunately, I really don’t think any of these major upgrades will make a significant diffrence with the stability and performance of MSFS 2020. 

I really think the source of all my issues and the similar issues that many other people are suffering with MSFS are due to some major optimization issues with the application itself, not the PC’s its being run on.
