I have a i9 5.Ghz with 32Gb Ram, Windows 10 Pro, Nvidia RTX2080Ti and even when I put the graphics on low as recommended with Nvidia Experience the game crashes with error  Critical Process Died!

I have benched my video card and all Games run perfect and high settings and never crash.

Understanding that this game has to render many objects in any given scene which is understandable however when I cannot run even at a low settings is not exceptable please get me touch of support to get a refund of this game please. I purchased the most expensive opition.

Most disapointed

    Hi Jeremy,

From the start MSFS 2020 was unstable even in downloading it, it would crash frequently, took me about four days to completely download.

Next problem was even reaching the Options page. just kept crashing.  Rather frustrating.

I had Task Manager up and noticed the GPU chart collapse just prior to a crash, which got me thinking.

This is a new computer, with the previous one slowly dying.

For some reason Windows wouldn't let me install the NVIDIA drivers.  The computer worked, so I left it alone and had no issues.

    However, MSFS 2020 fixed that.

I went into 'System' and verified that I had the correct driver, not the suggested one.  I found it hard to compare the latest NVIDIA driver with what I had as they used different styles of version numbers.  In the end, the NVIDIA one was more recent so I tried downloading it again and it installed without issue and so did my crashing issues with MSFS 2020.

It's still a bit twitchy but at least I can get into flight training.

My next issue is the yoke assembly, have some issues there.  I find the keyboard controls to active and I end up losing control and crashing.  Something else to fix.  :)

Hey everyone, my FS2020 has been stable now for over a week (touch wood). Here's what I did:

    Uninstall nVidia Experience

Download latest driver for my RTX 2080 Super and do a (Custom) clean installation

Went to windows 'Focus assist' and set to Alarms only - 'During these times' is off and everything else is on

Kill any background processes I don't need from the Notification area including 'nvidia settings' and my graphics tablet

    Run FS2020 as Administrator

    Turned off vsync

Accepted the recommended in-game graphics settings but I dialed down some of the traffic, so I'm basically on 'High' but with a few things dialed back.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi John

Thanks for the suggestion, however I confirm that I did use the "official" NVIDIA driver for my graphics card.

Do you mean you have got MSFS 2020 working?  If so, I would be interested how you achieved that apart from using the correct graphics card driver.

    Hi Folks,

What worked for me was to get an official video driver for my GTX 1070 from NVIDIA.  Far more stable.

The computer is quite new and Windows sources the driver, apparently not the right one.

Hope this helps in some way.

I too have the same issue, i have an intel i9-9900k, 32GB ram, RTX2070 graphics card on an msi motherboard. I run the game at my reccomended “high end” settings and the game runs great, until it crashes to the desktop without any sign of an issue. This happens every time around 30 min to an hour into any flight. I have done everything in regards to trying to fix the issue. I have updated my graphics driver, downloded the c++ data, increased vram, moved the game to my c: drive, updated my pc, even adjusted the settings to my graphics card. Nothing has worked. Ive contacted microsoft 4 times and every time i get a cut and paste answer. I also bought the premium deluxe version on steam. I also tried running it in safe mode (as reccomended by microsoft in their cut and paste asnwer) and got a “fatal error” involving d3d11renderer_z. This indicates an issue with Direct X11. The problem is my windows 10 is up to date and has direct x12 isntalled. And if i was truly having an issue with my direct x or graphics card driver then why does every other game i have run flawlessly. Im conviced this is a code issue or optomization issue. This is the only game that crashes on me. Microsoft needs to do better by the community and fix this ASAP
