Sony WH-H910N h.ear headphones not recognised as an Audio Device

Hi,

I recently purchased some WH-H910N h.ear bluetooth headphones.

I would like to connect them to my HP PC running Windows 10. I can pair the headphones, but they are not recognised as an Audio Device. My MDR-XB70BT ear buds are recognised as an Audio device, but not my WH-H910N h.ear.Headphones.

When I pair my WH-H910N h.ear - they are paired under 'Óther Devices' - which is where my phone sits as well. Because they sit here there is no option "connect" to them, only the option to 'remove device'

Can anyone explain why the headphones would not be recognised as Audio?

You will see that my Sony Bluetooth earbuds appear in both playback & recording, but my new headphones do not.

Many thanks

Connie

    may try this

This is what worked for me.. Silly me, I was trying to pair the headphones without being in pairing mode.
To enter pairing mode for Sony Headphones, press and hold the power button for 7 seconds (while powered off ) or till you hear "pairing mode" through your headphones).

Next go to Action Center and select "Connect". It should turn on BT and your device should appear in the list.
    Hope this helps someone!

1: Unpair the Sony wh-h910n headphone

    2: Power of the headphone

3: Go to Bluetooth settings on your computer and add a new Bluetooth device

4: Power on your headphone and continue holding down the power button until you hear your Bluetooth device is pairing mode

    5: Release the power button

6: select WH-H910N from the device list on your PC Bluetooth search window

    7 You're done. Great Job!

Thank you SO much for explaining this so simply without all the uninstall/re-install mess,.

Both my ear buds and bluetooth amp are finally showing as audio device options and can be used.

I purchased a Sony WH-901N blue tooth headphones and paired it with my phone. I worked perfectly. Then I paired to my Windows 10 computer but the sound and mic still went through my computer speakers and mic. In sound settings I could not select the headphones as my output device. The issue is the headphones can only be connected to one device. They can be paired with more than one device (phone and computer) but can only be connected to one device at a time. Since I connected to my phone first it, I could pair to my computer but it would not connect because the phone was connected to the headphones.

I went into my phone settings and selected "disconnect" for the headset. Be sure to "disconnect" and not "forget", "unpair" or "remove".  Then I went to my Windows 10 blue tooth settings, removed the headset, and added it back in, though I am not sure I really had to do that. Anyway, when it connected it worked.

When I use the headset make sure it is only connected to the device I want it connected to. If It will not connect to the device I know I need to go to the other device and disconnect.
