    Hi,

    I did have MSFS installed and working but it stopped working so tried to uninstall it and re-install now all I can install is 1.65gb and when I click on play it looks like its loading but then crashes straight away which is obviously down to the fact there is only 1.65gb of game installed. I've been trying lots of things mentioned on various websites but I haven't come across anyone with my problem. Appreciate any answers given

    Cheers

    Microsoft - Pushed out an inferior product, left the community to deal its test runs. Why pay their tech department when they can sit back and watch try to handle all the issues. Never buy a first year of a new car, never jump on a new issue of software.. Now MS is pushing out Win 11?

    Not a chance.....

    When this first released I installed it in the first attempt (despite the needlessly complicated launcher) and was able to run it consistently. Then they did an update that always gets stuck decompressing and I haven't been able to run the game since. I've probably tried to install this a few dozen times now, following "solved" methods posted online. I'm absolutely sure it's a coin toss and the "solved" answers were just flukes at this point.

    I tried making my internet slower, I tried removing ram sticks, I tried removing all my drives except the drive I was installing to. At one point I went full-out scorched-earth, formatted all my drives, then did a fresh Windows install thinking maybe one of the many Windows app folder that you can never really get rid of has something to do with it based on another user's "solution". Flight simulator still got stuck decompressing packages. It's not even the same one every time.

    This is a brilliant looking simulator that I was very much looking forward to seeing evolve and improve but I can't even make it beyond the launcher and not one tech or Asobo developer has had a real way to fix their installer which is frankly pathetic

    @BusierDonkey

    My story is the exact same as yours.

    I am a cloud engineer and have worked in enterprise IT for 25 years.

    I replaced all my hardware as you did. Could never re-install since patch #1.

    I have raised numerous tickets, to no avail.

    Terrible customer support.

    Many digital-pilots are in this same predicament.

    Please Asobo/MS ....sort this out.
