2020-10-06T02:13:36+00:00 They locked the other thread I was following re: downloader not working. Original release worked, but since the patch, it simply keeps resetting back to 0%.
Tried uninstalling the game, but the fresh install is still having the same problem. Anybody have a similar experience or have any recommendations? I haven't been able to launch the game for several weeks.

2020-10-01T12:06:52+00:00 The only solution I could find was to delete the entire game and start afresh. As I've said before I would advise against signing out in game if you run the steam version.

2020-09-03T01:33:35+00:00 Guys i was having trouble installing MSFS2020 as well. I was trying to install to my ‘D’ drive and kept getting an error message. MS support was unable to help. I found this post in another thread and it worked for me MSFS2020 is currently installing. Fingers crossed it completes.
Hope it helps someone as it is ridiculously frustrating.
Hi,
Please rename the folder WindowsApps in Drive D to WindowsApps.old, restart your computer, It should work after renaming it.
Thank you,
