Can't download Microsoft flight sim 2020

Mine also worked great on release day, the uninstall and reinstall patch doomed it going forward.  This is total bull$hit from the developer.

This did not work for me, tried everything on the forums,  going to ask microsoft for a refund tired of wasting my time with a company that cannot even get its own software to download.

Hello. I'm simply replying to let the community and Microsoft know that 3 months later, hundreds of people are still having this issue with no resolution. Absolutely ridiculous, and its ONLY Flight Sim that gives us this issue. I can install every other program just fine, but not MSFS.

Solved only by re-installing my entire OS. Tried every step on the internet and these forums, a whole other Microsoft Account on a new User Account, completely different license and it still wouldn't download. Someone royally messed up on this one.

Holy Cow!! Does any of this sound normal just to download a sim?  I have downloaded many sims and games but Microsoft needs to get it together.  X plane 11 download and updates are trouble free but this sim asks you to try replacing your damn hard drive.  No thanks...

Guys i was having trouble installing MSFS2020 as well. I was trying to install to my ‘D’ drive and kept getting an error message. MS support was unable to help. I found this post in another thread and it worked for me MSFS2020 is currently installing. Fingers crossed it completes.

Please rename the folder WindowsApps in Drive D to WindowsApps.old, restart your computer, It should work after renaming it.
