Can't download Microsoft flight sim 2020

Bit the bullet and did a clean Windows install (format disk) and managed to get it going - it was the first thing I installed before anything else.

I did note that before my reinstall my PC was not showing up in https://account.microsoft.com/devices and then Microsoft Store Device Management but my laptop was which would install it. I couldn't get my PC to show up there so I do not know if they are correlated but I suspect so.

Since the reinstall my desktop does show up there and it now installs.

How many times we said Please, MS do something?

Nothing has been done and nothing will be done. They got my money and I cam't even refund not through MS nor VISA. Dead end. 7 months, still no fix.

Amazing. I will never ever buy anything beariing MS logo.

When this first released I installed it in the first attempt (despite the needlessly complicated launcher) and was able to run it consistently. Then they did an update that always gets stuck decompressing and I haven't been able to run the game since. I've probably tried to install this a few dozen times now, following "solved" methods posted online. I'm absolutely sure it's a coin toss and the "solved" answers were just flukes at this point.

I tried making my internet slower, I tried removing ram sticks, I tried removing all my drives except the drive I was installing to. At one point I went full-out scorched-earth, formatted all my drives, then did a fresh Windows install thinking maybe one of the many Windows app folder that you can never really get rid of has something to do with it based on another user's "solution". Flight simulator still got stuck decompressing packages. It's not even the same one every time.

This is a brilliant looking simulator that I was very much looking forward to seeing evolve and improve but I can't even make it beyond the launcher and not one tech or Asobo developer has had a real way to fix their installer which is frankly pathetic

It's a hideous design for an installer.  Like a lot of people here, it had been many months since I've been able to run FS 2020.  The very first build installed on my system.  After the first update, I've been locked out for over half a year.  

The latest iteration does seem to run a lot more smoothly.

Check your version of windows 10. Also make sure your graphics drivers are up to date.
