What OS version are you running?
This is the machine WdNisDrv.sys won't run on, but I checked some others and it runs fine on those.
It seems to be an incompatibility with Core Isolation / Memory Integrity, the machines that WdNisDrv.sys works fine on don't have that enabled.
I'm on
Windows 10 Pro
2004
Installed on 8/11/2020
OS Build 19041.450
Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.31.0
So it makes me wonder if either there is a delay in receiving the update (tonight all I got was a few AV definition files which did bring me current and an Nvidia driver update, which I ultimately had to get directly from the vendor to install).
Still no update to KB4052623 that would bring my AV Client to 2008.4 ... and my Windows version also does not match this. The Microsoft Update Catalog still has no download for this update, and the Microsoft Security Intelligence update page still reflects 2007.8 as the latest revision.
So I wonder if some people are participating in the insider program?
One thing was resolved though with respect to process explorer; the strange output being seen on Memory Isolation and Registry are a known bug.
