Hello, use Registry Editor, go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NlaSvc\Parameters\Internet
and modify: EnableActiveProbing
then change "Value data" from "0" to "1"
and restart your computer

I am running on Windows 10 Enterprise, Version 2004, OS Build 19041.264.
I recently changed to the Windows Insider Program and updated Windows. In the taskbar, the Wi-Fi icon shows No Internet Access, but I have a stable internet connection wirelessly (Ex: I can browse the internet, ping IP Addresses, etc.). Another problem is when I try to open Cortana it also says that I have no internet connection (By the way, I can also open Microsoft's website).
As I know Windows checks internet connectivity with this URL: http://msftconnecttest.com/connecttest.txt. But this gives Error 404, File Not Found. Maybe it is because of this?
If you know the problem or an answer, please help. Thanks!

If you want to send me a private msg with your email I can get on a thread with you with instructions to start a trace and will look at it for you.
(I'm not in the business of going this deep with individuals on threads like this because it can tend to end in cascades of requests for help.....but I'm intrigued. Normally, I'm just perusing these threads for quick top-of-head suggestions...which are not seemingly working).
Thanks
Hi - cannot do this, as access is denied. Apparently only you can initiate the PM with me, then I can reply to you. If I try to send one, the site does not let me("You are not authorized to access this page." - 'Start a conversation' from my profile/private messenger), and a bit of research revealed that only admin or perhaps you Tom as an MS employee can start a private message session with a user, but I as the end use cannot contact you in the first instance. I can see why it is setup that way, or people from all over the planet would be PM'ing the MS staff all the time. ;)
That is indeed the correct entry, and 1 is correct.
Also, check this one:
SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\NetworkConnectivityStatusIndicator
NoActiveProbe should be 0 (or not exist at all)
Also under above path
DisablePassivePolling should be 0 (or not exist)
