Hello, use Registry Editor, go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NlaSvc\Parameters\Internet
and modify: EnableActiveProbing
then change "Value data" from "0" to "1"
and restart your computer
Windows 10 says I have no internet connection, but I have.

I am running on Windows 10 Enterprise, Version 2004, OS Build 19041.264.
I recently changed to the Windows Insider Program and updated Windows. In the taskbar, the Wi-Fi icon shows No Internet Access, but I have a stable internet connection wirelessly (Ex: I can browse the internet, ping IP Addresses, etc.). Another problem is when I try to open Cortana it also says that I have no internet connection (By the way, I can also open Microsoft's website).
As I know Windows checks internet connectivity with this URL: http://msftconnecttest.com/connecttest.txt. But this gives Error 404, File Not Found. Maybe it is because of this?
If you know the problem or an answer, please help. Thanks!

The proper one is
"HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\NetworkConnectivityStatusIndicator\” -Name UseGlobalDNS -PropertyType DWORD -Value 1 -Force
But the more appropriate way to do this is not through registry directly, but through group policy config:

That is exactly the issue I faced too. After the update from Windows 10 1909 to 2004 I have this issue. When I activate the Active Probing in the Registery it works again after a reboot. However that also triggers Microsoft Edge Browser with Bing. Which I don't want. I am on FIrefox with my on startup page.

2020-07-08T17:40:57+00:00 This is a continuing problem for some systems. Windows reports that there is no internet but wireless internet is fine. If it was just the little notification systray it wouldn't be a big deal but, unfortunately, Microsoft applications (namely Microsoft Office) don't check for internet on their own. They just drink the 'no internet Kool-Aid' that Windows reports. This results in the inability to save to cloud storage (like OneDrive) and causes Outlook to not function. THIS MAKES IT A HUGE ISSUE!
I am using an HP 14 dq1039wm. I upgraded from 1903 to 2004. This system is used as a Windows 10 Home/Debian box. Everything else has been fine except for Windows not properly recognizing internet connectivity. I have asked Dr. G about it multiple times and tried ALL of the fixes I've found on the internets, as well as a bit of undocumented regedit tinkering, to no avail. I am a Microsoft-certified technician and know my way around a Windows operating system. This issue is the direct result of Microsoft's horrible QA process!
Edit: As least for me, changing the enableactiveprobing or disablepassivepolling is only a temporary fix. After working fine for a day my Windows went back to not recognizing wireless internet (even though it's fine). I have all the latest Windows updates installed, including both the latest SSU and quality update KB4567523.
