good old registry hack does not work anymore:

  1. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power] CsEnabled=0
  2. deleted [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\ModernSleep]

PC still uses "Standby (S0 Low Power Idle) Network Connected" and it makes a lot of problems

hi - as a "side effect" by disabling modern standby which i managed to do, now the FN keys no longer work when the PC comes back to sleep.

    with modern enabled they work.

This happened on a newer computer a Zenbook, on my older Vivobook, it works fine with FN keys always working when resuming from sleep.

drivers, etc all up to date, new machine - this is the only "minor" issue i have.

if you restart or shut down they work again.

    thanks

You meant it's supposed to do it all, didn't you? ;-) Let's hope it will... one day, and we're in no rush thanks to the HW makers that do listen and leave S3 there as a truly working alternative despite that push to withdraw it.

My XPS 13 can switch to S3 and could sleep normally. But after wake up, NETWORK IS NOT WORKING and wireless module cannot be found in System Device Manager.

    Any solution for this plz?

Hello, I hope you see this, try a full shutdown:

Start menu>power, click shutdown while holding shift key. Then turn it on again.

If that doesn't work, unplug your AC adapter and drain your battery until your pc turns off, then turn it on again to ensure it gets to 0% battery. After that, press and hold the power button a couple of times, so all the capacitors discharge.

Then you can plug your AC adapter and turn your pc on, it should be working now. Let me know if it was useful
