    Yes, there is a way. Uninstall Windows and switch to Linux.

    No, I am only talking about getting rid of the useless banner on the setting page that show the icons you highlight, and for some screwed up reason my picture and email address, surely some kind of security breach. I only mentioned Edge to indicate that my system could not be more up to date fore a home user than it is.

    The computer, an Acer laptop, is entirely up to date (20H2) even the optional cumulative update thatis not yet mandatory as well as the recent update to Edge. The computer has an Fn key used with some of the keys at the top including the F keys togeter with Del Home End etc. there is no Fn function attached to F1, F2, F10 and F11

    The Fn key does what it is supposed to do when used with a key that has a secondary function, this function is also indicated on the key in question.

    You are talking about two different things. F11 can be used to hide address- and menu bars on Edge (or other browsers), but this thread is about new banner in Settings app main page and there F11 doesn't help at all.

    ??? I want rid of the unrequested banner taking up space telling things I can easily get elsewhere, an own goal. F11 has no effect as far as I can see certainly not a toggle.

    the F11 key on the very top of keyboard does it every time for me. i am using windows 10 and have all the updates. is that the same for you? i like to remove it for reading. why would it not work for you? i am interested, i have a dell . i will check on other computer to see if it works on it also. your computer is ? are they working Fn keys

    1. Look if your computer has any keys that has Fn/ F Lock/ F ModeKey. Press that and press any function key. Look if that is working or not. Or, 1. Press  Fn/ F Lock/ F ModeKey for one time and release it. Then, try to use the Function keys. If these methods didn’t work out, go for the next fix. Fix- 2 Press F11 or F12 key
