REMOVE, DISABLE, HIDE Windows 10 Settings Header

thank you for this.  I was unaware an alternative to mach2 existed.

I gave it a try and it did in fact work.  header gone!  Huge win!  Will have to watch it over time though.  I do recall some months back when this header appeared for the first time.   I was able to remove it with mach2, however it returned on its own automagically a day or so later.  I ended up restoring a system image to a point in time prior to it appearing and it stayed gone until just recently. Hoping that isnt the case this time around and it stays gone.  Time will tell.

Thanks for the link, I'll check it out. 

But it's quite weird that just some random users, maybe 1%, got the header popping up without any addon to show it, so it sounds like Ms is randomly enabling it and use us as non-volunteers testers. 

I never asked to test that header. On my personal pc and the laptop I have same windows version and no header, only on the surface 3 it happened! 😁

So on my tablet Surface 3 I am still on Windows 10 2004, but today I got a cumulative update and suddenly this horrid header came out! It's really horrible and nonsense.. looking like going back to beta versions of Windows Vista (Longhorn) when they were actually experimenting these huge headers on many apps, like devices, Windows explorer, Shared documents etc... I still remember, it took like 30-40% of the screen!

Also, looking at PC info in the settings app, version number disappeared... blank space. 

Luckily the build is still there, which is 19041.572, sto still 2004.

I would be annoyed less (but still) if I could see a reason for the intrusion, why is my information being should to me without requesting it and to any third party looking at my screen, surely a security breach in itself? Idiotic.
